Necker Island, Wednesday Morning

Another gorgeous sunrise means another beautiful day of vacation for the residents of Fandom, at least those who can get out of bed and make it outside.

Those who feasted on the seafood buffet last night might want to avoid the floating sushi today. There might just be too much of a good thing.

The Beach House is the second-biggest place on the island. It rests between the island's two tennis courts and provides lunch as well as a bar and game tables... and the most impressive pool of them all.

Like most places on Necker Island, the Beach House comes with an extensive seating area. There are sofas outside on the tennis- and swimming pool sides, but you can also opt to drop yourself on the large couches upstairs, which provide a more panoramic view - and game tables.

Technically, there are two tennis courts right outside the Beach House. Grab a racket, a ball and a friend, and play a game. If you dare do that in the glaring Caribbean sun, anyway.

Beach House supports what has to be the island's most impressive pool, a sprawling freeform infinity pool with a swim-up bar. Nearby is a nice thatched house with chairs to sit at, if that's more your jam.

Are you hungry? You don't even need to leave the pool! There's a special sushi kayak that takes off into the pool every now and again, providing a wide selection of sushi rolls both vegetarian and not.

And finally, Beach House supports a 30-seat jacuzzi right outside the pool, in case all the other luxury wasn't great enough.

Hyacinthe was climbing into the 30-seat jacuzzi today. He had ~~flirted shamelessles~~ convinced one of the staff to keep bringing drinks around so he wouldn't have to leave the jacuzzi for hours if he didn't want to.

Today you were learning to share, Emperor Llama.

"NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo," Kuzco cried, stomping his hoof. "This is my jacuzzi. MINE."

He was not taking sharing well.

"Nay, 'tis not," Hyacinthe said easily. "It belongs to the resort and thus, for the use of anyone here."

"But I called dibs two days ago."

And dibs are legally binding, obviously.

"Why?" Hyacinthe asked. "This is huge. You don't need it all to yourself."

Beat.

"And all know that dibs expire twenty-four hours after being called."

Duh, Kuzco. Duh.

"They do not," Kuzco said. "You made that up!"

"Obviously they do," Hyacinthe said. "Else I could call dibs on your room and all of your possessions back upon the island."

He eyed Kuzco. "Dibs."

"You can't call dibs on stuff you can't see," Kuzco said, rolling his eyes. "Everyone knows that."

"Shall I call dibs on you, then?" Hyacinthe asked, stretching out in the jacuzzi and getting even more comfortable.

"UM," Kuzco said. "No. I'm not a dib-ale thing."

That was a real sentence, right?

"I have absolutely called dibs on livestock before," Hyacinthe said, not even bothering to hide his grin.

Kuzco gasped. "I am not livestock."

He really was.

"You're a llama."

You know, in case he hadn't noticed.

"I'm an emperor."

Who's a llama.

"Over all the other llamas?" Hyacinthe asked. "Not impressed."

Kuzco stomped his, well, hoof.

Sorry, Kuzco. "I AM EMPEROR OVER PEOPLE."

"You certainly aren't my emperor," Hyacinthe told him. "You know your power exists only as long as there are people that respect it, yes?"

He had a feeling Kuzco hadn't gotten that message, actually.

"...No," Kuzco insisted. "I'm emperor. They all adore me!"

"...What are you basing this on?" Hyacinthe asked. Because that didn't sound like an opinion based at all in reality.
