At Sea, 1978 (Monday, February 23rd)

Hope you'd all gotten settled in nice and snug last night, folks, because today is going to be spent out at sea. No stops, no fancy sights, no tourist traps: just you, the ocean, and the wonders of the late 70s.

You want drinks? There's drinks. You want pools? There's pools. You want disco?

"Why is everything suspended in gelatin?" Four murmured as he filled up on never-gonna-fail-you chocolate cake. "It's creepy."

Emma took an icing covered pastry, because baked goods totally counted as healthy, right? "I don't know," she said. "I'd complain to management, but I'm pretty sure it was a decade wide problem."

"The other guests certainly seem happy," Four said. "Of course, some of them are super old, so it's possible their eyesight's shot..."

"Maybe there's something in the gelatin?" Emma suggested. "It'd explain a few things."

"Like their pants," Four said, eyes a little wide.

He grew up in beige and now wore black. He wasn't prepared for burnt umber.

"I'm not ure anything can explain those pants." Just because Emma had been a child during the era of florescent clothing didn't mean she thought it was a good idea.

And now she'd said that, when the island turned everyone's laundry into bell-bottoms they'd all know who to blame.

"Gladly," Emma reassured him, and not just because he'd look good in a wet shirt, even one that hideous.

That shirt was probably water resistant and possibly bullet proof.

"Thanks," he said, grabbing a few chocolate-covered strawberries. Healthy!

Careful, Four, it was the seventies, those might be carob covered strawberries and actually healthy. "My pleasure."
