Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia [Evening, February 26, 2014]

After scouring the hotel and pulling any truly unwilling Fandomites out from under beds and out of closets, the spring break trip moves from Bali's beautiful beaches to the vibrant and bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

It's still nice and warm, though, never fear: it only cools down to 85 in the evening!

Maddie preferred going swimming later in the day because she was a pale redhead and guess who didn't want to match her hair for the rest of vacation. When she got to her room she went ahead and changed into her bathing suit (and she was only a little self-conscious about a two-piece, really) and hit the pool.

The view was pretty hard to beat.

The view was pretty spectacular. But not everyone was paying attention to that.

Sorry if Jackson splashed water on you when he was swimming past, Maddie. He was just trying to get some laps in. In a pool that wasn't really the best shape for that.

"Thanks for that," Maddie called after him without really thinking about it.

Jackson immediately heard her just fine, but he still swam for several strokes before stopping to tread water enough to actually throw a glance back over his shoulder. Along with an eyebrow raise.

"Sorry?"

That wasn't an apology, it was more like a 'did you say something?' Because Jackson rarely managed to find the non-douchey settings in his personality.

Oh. She hadn't thought he'd hear her.

"You're kind of splashing," she said, trying not to make that sound like an apology.

And this was why it wasn't a good idea to call out werewolves. At least ones with terrible manners.

Jackson rolled his eyes. "Sometimes that happens when you go fast. It's just water."

Really? Couldn't even fake an insincere 'sorry'?

"And it's not really a lap pool, either," Maddie pointed out.

"I know, they really should've thought that out more thoroughly when they built this place."

Yeah, not only was he not faking an apology, he was also deliberately misunderstanding her.

"...And so we really shouldn't be doing laps in it," she said. She could be annoyed into sticking to a point.

Jackson glanced around, then raised both his eyebrows at her.

Perhaps a little sassily.

"I don't see any signs forbidding valiant efforts to get some healthy exercise in."

"No, but you've got an annoyed girl complaining," Maddie shrugged.

He shrugged right back. "You're not staff."

That... really shouldn't have been a reason to ignore her. It really shouldn't.

Maddie raised her eyebrows. "Really? You can't just say sorry and at least try to be considerate?"

"Sorry."

Probably didn't mean much when it came with an eyeroll and a huffy sigh, huh?

"For offending your delicate sensibilities."

Maddie rolled her eyes and just started heading for the edge of the pool. "I bet you're fun at parties."

"I am."

That was a complete lie, but whatever, he was already turning to swim away from this conversation too.

Jackson was swimming again. He'd done a lot of shopping back in Bali, and he could check out the restaurants later.

Right now, he needed to work out some restlessness.

With a hotel this nice, of course the gym (http://photos.mandarinoriental.com/is/image/MandarinOriental/kuala-lumpur-fitness-center-1?$CarouselCrop$&fit=crop) is just as nice, and they offer a variety of classes, including yoga, zumba and Tai Chi, two outdoor tennis courts and indoor golf.
