Blair glanced at Nadia and whispered. "Vampires? There's more than one?" He hopped on one foot and smiled brightly. "Hi, I'm Blair! Are you an agent?"

"Restricted area. Upstairs. Now."

Blair hopped on his other foot and shrugged, looking over at Nadia for help.

Nadia sniffled again and wiped at her eyes, while surreptitiously holding up three fingers. Because as far as she knows, there's three vampires at Fandom. Lord only knows how many aliens.

"Thanks, miss. We're really sorry. Please don't tell our chaperone, we'll get in big trouble!"

Yeah, so they weren't so much chaperoned, but it sounded good, and as far as Nadia knew, sneaking onto restricted government property would earn them a day as a weasel, or more bad dreams in detention, or something.

"Let's get you back to the tour group, shall we?" Scully says and walks behind the two teenagers to make sure that they don't take any more wrong turns.

Blair gave up on the hopping and started walking normally. He turned around to catch a glimpse of the male agent and grinned at Nadia. "That's what you think is a hot guy?"

Nadia glared at Blair out of the corner of her eye. "Yes, okay, he's hot! I like brown hair. Now shush!"

"Don't tell me to shush!" Blair winked at Nadia. "You're just sad we got caught by the wrong agent!"

Nadia blushed. She sure as heck wasn't about to say the redheaded one was hot in her own right, as well. Also? Blair was so about to blow their "we accidentally ended up in the stairwell" cover. "No, the weird belief in vampires cancels out the hot," she said, hoping to get the FBI agents off Fandom's trail.

"What do you mean weird belief in Vampir...oh...oh!" He nodded. "Yeah, weird! Who believes in vampires or aliens or monkey librarians or snowmonsters..." Blair trailed off and started whistling again.

Blair was officially the worst. spy. ever. "You're letting your imagination run away with you again." Nadia forced herself to smile and laugh. "Snow monsters. Monkey librarians. Really, now. Next you'll be talking about superheros in red tights, girls who can tell the future, and super intelligent computers that lock people in the basement and refuse to let them out until they promise to be friends with it and offer up their game systems--"

Wait, she was trying not to lead the agents to Fandom, wasn't she? She clamped her mouth shut.

When the finally reach the door, Scully escorts them through it.

"Go find your tour group. The next time you're caught downstairs you may not be so lucky."

Blair glanced at Nadia, and then at the agent behind them. Laughing a little nervously he decided silence was the best option from now on.

Nadia smiled a little shakily. "Thanks so much. We'll be much much much more careful from now on, we promise. Right, Bob?"

Yeah, she'd thrown out the alias at the last minute, hopefully Blair wouldn't complain.

Or at the very least, improvisation.

She gives the agent a final wave and hustles Blair back into the hallway.

"We should probably go do something else now."

Though she's walking ahead of her, Nadia is mentally shooting glares at the woman. She'd been hoping to get more than just a few flights of stairs and, you know, find out something before they got caught.

She was more certain than ever that that brown haired hottie agent was talking about Fandom.
