Somebody seems to be having a bad day and is taking it out on his arteries.

He's currently arguing with someone on his cellphone.

Somehow, Angela has found Kramerbooks.

She might make it out with some money left in her bank account. Maybe.

Blair stood outside the building and watched it. He was weighing the possibility of finding proof of government conspiracies with the possibility of getting taken down by The Man for being...um...scared of being taken down by The Man.

Nadia came up behind Blair. "I didn't know you were interested in architecture?"

A man with brown hair is talking with a red-headed woman and pass by Blair.

"I'm telling you Scully, this place actually exists."

Angela gestured at the tables heaped with books. "I think the people who work here have good taste, becaause everything I've picked up has looked pretty good?" she said. "I mean, I just randomly grabbed this book by -" she sounded out the nake "Haruki Murakami, and I think I have to buy it. And I keep hearing Michael Chabon is supposed to be good."

She thought for a minute. "What do you like to read?"

The red headed woman just rolls her eyes and follows the man into the building.

"An interdimensional island off the coast of Virginia? Give me a break Mulder."

Blair gulped and looked at Nadia. "I'm not. I'm just afraid of asking the wrong questions about a government conspiracy and getting locked up in a little room with some guy shining a bright light in my eyes."

Nadia nodded, even as she peered at Blair with a confused expression. "I thought America was supposed to be all about freedom and bravery. That sounds more like some of the Latin American dictators." she said, in no way channeling her mun, not at all, no siree!

Nadia watched the pair for a second out of the corner of her eye. It was good practice if she ever wanted to be a spy. . . .

"It is about those things. But not every place is perfect. Plus, I think I've lived with my subversive mom for too long. I'm sure nothing conspiracy like goes on here." He leaned forward to whisper. "It's probably all at the CIA!"

He pointed at the man and woman passing them. "Do you think those are agents?"

"No Ethan Fromme, gotcha," Angela said. "I have the same reaction to Kafka. I'm sure he's good, but we spent so much time on The Metamorphis.."

Here eyes grew big as she scanned "Into the Wild," by Jon Krakauer. "Oooh. This is cool. It's about some moron who walked away from his life, went camping in Alaska and starved to death."

Nadia agreed with Blair's assessment of the CIA, even as she carefully altered her mental worldview to include America not being quite so land of the free and home of the brave. "I think so. What does 'interdimensional' mean?"

Re: J. Edgar Hoover Building

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-02-20 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"I think it means something is of more than one dimension.or maybe able to access lots of dimensions." Blair shrugged. "Do you think it's a code word for nucleur secrets or something?"

"You mean like Fandom? Xander mentioned something about how the Buffy we had wasn't the Buffy from his dimension. . . ." Nadia blinked. "Do you think they're talking about Fandom?!" she kept her voice low, hoping no one would overhear.

Blair leaned forward and whispered. "Think we should follow them?"
