Kargi Bay to Fethiye, Turkey, Friday Daytime

After breakfast, it was time for the gulets to take a relaxing sail to the town of Fethiye, population 68,000. This town is ripe for shopping and sightseeing, as well as an optional excursion to the gorge of Saklikent and the Blue Lagoon.

There was still some vacation left to be had, and with temperatures in the mid-80s, almost anything was possible.

"I am. I haven't traveled just for pleasure in --" He couldn't actually remember, so he finished the sentence with a vague gesture "-- a while. Are you, even if it wouldn't be your first choice?"

"There's food and Bo's here," Mitchell said airily. "I don't have much to complain about. Besides television reception."

"There's always going to be something," Jack said, equally airy. "Though it's too bad. I hear Turkey's soap operas are quite something."

"Oh please, like I'd watch a soap opera," said Mitchell, connoisseur of bad reality documentaries.

"Maybe not, but I don't know anything about Turkish reality television," Jack answered easily. "Anyhow, soaps are fine. They remind me someone's always got it worse than me."

"Yeah, suggest that one to George before the next full moon," Mitchell said, snorting a bit. "Annie's the one who makes him watch soap operas."

Jack looked amused. "No thank you. He'd probably already go spastic that I got out of the moon for the month by coming on this trip."

Which meant the next moon would be hell itself, going from the last time Jack had done this, but so be it.

"It works that way?" Mitchell genuinely didn't known. Wasn't like George skipped moons.

"For me, but it seems to take switching between universes with different calendars or switching bodies," Jack said, glancing to the side. "And even then I wouldn't recommend it too often. Last time I did this the next month was the worst ever."

"More pain?" Mitchell guessed, wincing a bit. "I'm sorry."

"That, and more aggression," Jack sighed. "Luckily everyone around me had superpowers, but I'll still take more precautions now that I know what to expect."

Mitchell shot him a glance from the corner of his eyes. "You got somewhere safe to transform next moon?"
bitten_notshy: ([neu] explaining it again)

"I have two or three options I need to sort out," Jack said, voice intentionally calm. "But -- yes. I should be fine. Thank you for worrying."

He would be too.
