Gocek to Kargi Bay, Turkey [Thursday, February 28, 2013, daytime]

After breakfast (complete with strong Turkish coffee for those who might have overindulged at the club last night) we leave Göcek for Kargi Bay,a quiet picturesque location where we'll spend ample time swimming, snorkeling and wind surfing. This little bay, home of one of the best beaches on the peninsula, is a paradise for snorkeling fans and a haven of fish just waiting to be caught.

And eaten for lunch.

Welcome to your next day of vacation, Fandom! It's Thursday, if you're starting to lose track, and the temperature is going to get up to almost 90 today: perfect for water-related activities, or if you're feeling a little waterlogged, maybe a Turkish massage.

Kate looked at the bottle, looked at Kitty and reached to pick up a shade closer to turquoise. "What about this one?"

Fashion advice came free with knowing Kate Bishop. Just ask Alec.

But Kate would not also glare at you like you'd killed her sister or something.

...or maybe that was just Kate that got glared at that way.

"Oh. The 'archery club,'" Kate said, using finger quotes. She paused. "Please don't use that either."

But really, it was.

"There's a Clint at home too. I know ... the him there better. And sentences like that will always be weird." Yeah, Kate was still more weirded out by the different Hawkeye than the different Billy. Because Billy was still Billy. Also he knew who she was.

It kind of made Kate's head hurt too actually.

At least partially in the 'whoa, go Hawkeye' way which was apparently inappropriate now that she was actually his student.

Apparently it was being said anyway.

Kate's lack of tact, never far away, had clearly come out to play.

She shrugged at the question, her thumb rubbing over her finger calluses as she thought how to answer. "I used to want to be an Avenger. We both use a bow so we got to know each other. He's awesome."

All of them. Definitely.

"It's -" Kate considered the words. Apparently Kitty dating Clint meant that she could be trusted? Which was pretty funny given his usual taste in women. "We had some stuff go really wrong. I don't know if I'm okay with being responsible for that."

Kate glanced down at her hands, the thought that she ought to call Mr. Lang flitting into her mind.

"Yeah, we'll see." She looked over at Kitty. "You sound like you've maybe been there."

And she couldn't picture Clint dating anyone normal.

Generally Kitty didn't go around advertising the superhero thing, but she didn't care if people knew since half her universe seemed to be here in one form of another. And since Kate was from that universe... "I used to be an X-Man," she said.

"Pretty much. I spent almost my entire teen years dealing with all the crises and hate and losing people, and at some point you just have to be done," she said, wrinkling her nose a bit.

She nodded thoughtfully. And she felt like she should be recognizing Kitty's name, but she so wasn't the superhero encyclopedia Billy or Teddy were or Cassie had been.

"Pretty much that. Only way smaller scale," Kate agreed. It just sucked. She looked down at her now purple toes.

"...I totally owe you a pedicure that doesn't wander into sad stuff. I promised relaxing."
