Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday - Evening

While the sun might have been setting, the activity in the city was not dying down. Far from it, actually. There was more and more noise as the work day ended and the celebration began. If you were into that sort of thing, that is.

The hotel was still open for those less interested in the nightlife of Rio de Janeiro.

"Ask what exactly, Dorothy?" he asked, treading water in place.

"What it means, you being Loki," Dorothy said. "What all you can do, what magics. I've met witches and wizards, but never anything like you. It's a very interesting mystery. But treating you like a mystery and not a person isn't really nice at all."

"A mystery is the best thing one can be," Loki insisted with a quick smile.

Dorothy smiled back, thinking that an excellent answer. "Well then, I guess it would be horrible to take that away."

She stood up, looking for a moment at the water. "I'll probably have to swim at some point this week. But I haven't anything to wear in the water."

"They sell many undergarments in the shops nearby," he offered.

"I'll figure something out," Dorothy said with an agreeing nod and smile. "After all, I can't stay in the past forever."

Though she'd still find something very modest.

"Well, I should let you get back to swimming."

In Rio, that could possibly be a challenge.

"I wish you the best of luck. Many here appear to be most... bold in their choices."

Dorothy nodded, with an expression that definitely showed she'd found herself somewhat scandalized on more than one occasion this trip.

"Thank you," she said, and then her smile returned and she gave another wave. "I wish you luck, as well."

And then she turned to go.
