Scotland, 2004--Sunday Morning, Main Kitchen

The kitchen was fully stocked with breakfast items. Oatmeal, bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, plus the makings for pancakes or waffles, if someone was so inclined. For the less alive crowd, there were also bags of orangutan and pig's blood in the refrigerator. Probably best not to ask how those got there so quickly.

Dawn was contemplating the ingredients and wondering if she wanted to attempt to make some scones.

[ooc: Last Scotland post! NFB and open to everyone here. No OCD. Departure portal will be handwaved, unless people want a post to say goodbyes.]

Faith stared at the plate for a minute, then shrugged. "I'm game. Never had blood pancakes before. They any good?"

River shrugged. "I hope so." She handed Faith a plate. "I'm going to miss the food here. Not a good selection on a spaceship."

"Spaceship?" Faith gave River an odd look. "So, you're from the future or whatever, too? Get out."

"500 years into the future, different solar system. I live on a spaceship called Serenity." She smiled. "With bad choice of food."

Faith shook her head. "Damn. Mel's only a couple hundred years or so. Your school's pretty fuckin' weird, you know that?"

"Yes." River smiled as if that was a compliment.

Faith grinned back. Hey, she hadn't meant it as one, but weird could be good, right?

"Weird can be good," River confirmed.
