Special Collections, Sunday Morning and Afternoon
Morning came with soft pink twilight filtering in past the toadstools, and a light drizzle of rain that might not be entirely well-received. The camp at the foot of the giant toadstools had been left undisturbed that night, reasonably warm and quiet, as if Special Collections was trying to make up for weeks of sleeplessness on the Fandomites' end.
That kind front only stuck to the camp, though. A little further off, towards the entrance they had taken to get there in the first place, more and more black cracks were materializing before they fizzled away again.

Base Camp - Common Area
Re: Base Camp - Common Area
His annoyance at Jono was starting to wear off enough that he was actually considering going around trying to keep people motivated, which was HIS IDEA and not Jono's, thank you very much.
But for now: sausage.

Natalie had been surviving the last 24 hours or so mostly on chocolate and sheer stubborn willpower because she simply hadn't been hungry. But, she'd also survived both a bickering D&D game and a couple of hours in the labyrinth last night. It was time to consider eating something.
Mr. Moxy flopped down at her feet as she took a seat on a log near Peter.

"My game of D&D did not go as planned," he reported.
Yes, Topher. Peter knew this. Because the game had not exactly been particularly quiet. And there had been radio.

Re: Base Camp - Common Area
Today's muttering had taken on a new tone. Today there were prayers uttered softly. He still wasn't convinced that the lost were truly dead, it hadn't felt like large amounts of death when parts of the island vanished. But they were still gone. All of them. And he was Stykera. If there were not dead to deal with, dying to cross over, those lost to this darkness could at least be remembered and mourned. He could do that, at least. There were no prayers that he knew for this. Of all those he had accompanied in their final moments, none had ever been like this. So he would say what he did know. And if any deities were left to watch over or hear them and if the other side still existed (if this wasn't, in fact, the other side itself), he did not believe that using the wrong words would matter.
He wouldn't mind an interruption though. Far from it.
Re: Base Camp - Common Area
He glanced around to the others, curious as to how long their numbers would hold against the encroaching black. It seemed as much as he could hope that no one had been lost overnight.

Today she was going through the supplies she'd brought, trying to organize and figure out what they might need if they were here for a while. She was hoping this would be completely unnecessary, but it gave her something to do.
Re: Base Camp - Common Area
She was Fremen; cooking in this manner was nothing new to her, and there would be plenty to share for today, at least.

Base Camp - Tents and Secluded Areas
[[ consider this the special collections equivalent of your hotel post. Location in the subjectline ('Ender's Tent', 'Topher's Claimed Corner By The Bookcase', etc) and keep any sexytiems to personal journals. Feel free to set up a post and then link it back here. ]]
Re: Base Camp - Tents and Secluded Areas - Phoebe and Cole's Tent
She kept looking around with interest that might not be a very good thing. She was running on enough sleep deprivation that she was getting really curious about Special Collections and where they were.
Look, when else would she get a chance to explore the place?
Re: Base Camp - Tents and Secluded Areas - Hanna's Tent
handwavilyended up trapped in some weird labyrinth for much of yesterday.Or maybe that was an excuse to hide for awhile. She was sure Special Collections would not let her do that for long, though.
Base Camp: Special Collections Daycare
She got as far as wandering around sniffling and looking for a bathroom. After (thankfully) finding one, she'd started to sniffle her way back to Katchoo... when she heard the sounds of the only thing that might stop her from sniffling: a sniffling child.
Under the shade of a very tall toadstool, next to a shelf full of narrow, but colorful books, sat a little blonde girl in a pinafore, clutching a ridiculously snowy white lamb.
Wiping her own eyes, Francine crouched down beside her. "What's wrong, honey? Are you lost?" she asked, thinking the girl must belong to some townie or alum Francine had never met.
"Nooo. They won't let me..." Sniff! "T-take my lamb to schoooooooool!"
"That's kind of silly considering how many people around here randomly turn into ani---" Chunk-chunk. Doink-doink. Ba-BING. "Your name wouldn't happen to be Mary, would it?"
"Uh...uh-huh!"
So. That would be why there was a giant toadstool with a Francine under it in a rocking chair, the ground/floor scattered with pillows, coloring books, juice boxes (don't even ask), crayons, and small, fluffy, unrealistically cute animals and children.
Except for Georgie Porgie, who was sitting in Time Out for repeat offenses of unappreciated kissing.
[If you have any real children who need watching, they're welcome to join the party. If your character wouldn't leave their child, they're welcome to hang out here too and let the kiddies play. If you've got characters doing something elsewhere and would like to just mod your kid as being/having been here, that's cool too.]

"I sure hope you've got a good HMO, punk," a tough-looking doctor with a chinstrap beard said. "Because once I'm done with you, I'm going to be taking you straight to the emergency room."
