Enchantment of the Seas, Saturday Evening

After an afternoon spent in the wonderful city of Boston (excluding those lazy Fandomites who'd decided to stay on board through the day), in the evening it was once again time to board the cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas for one last night of vacation fun. Tomorrow, the ship would sail back to Baltimore, and the denizens of fair Fandom island would go back to whatever passed for normal life for them.

Yes, Fall Break was drawing to a close, but it wasn't over quite yet! There was still time to relax and take advantage of the many amenities the ship offered.

There aren't tubs in the middle of the rooms of any of the large staterooms, but you do get two twin beds (that can convert into queen-size), sitting area with sofa, vanity area and a private bathroom!

There's a Vitality Spa with an extensive treatment menu, if you still haven't been spa-ed enough, as well as a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, with classes ranging from aerobics to kickboxing to yoga; 2 pools including the Solarium, an adults only retreat; 6 whirlpools; a rock-climbing wall; a bungee trampoline; an upper-deck jogging track; and a video game arcade.

There are numerous restaurant options, ranging from the main dining room, to specialty cafes to an ice cream parlor that serves Ben & Jerry ice cream.

The Main Theater has complimentary Broadway-style entertainment tonight, the Vegas-style Casino Royale has 190 slots and 12 tables (and cards), and there are eight bars and lounges that never have a cover, including Boleros Latin-themed lounge and the Champagne Bar!

There's also duty-free shopping at the Boutiques of Centrum, featuring name brand jewelry, perfumes, apparel and more, and you can always go to the upper deck to watch the sun set over the water.

Somehow, Simon had gotten one of the fitness center employees to chick-sit Ramona for him for a while.

While he climbed the rock climbing wall, to be precise. He'd been feeling guilty about not doing anything to reach his goals during the trip, so he needed the workout, and while a climbing wall was a little easier than the walls he was used to trying to scale back in Fandom, it still did the trick.

Firekeeper had been thrilled to ~~mostly handwavy, sadly like most of her participation on this trip~~ get off the boat that morning and spend a day with land beneath her feet again.

But now they were back on the ocean, which meant she was huddled beneath the covers feeling miserable, Blind Seer sprawled on the ground next to her.

Maybe later she'd actually work herself up to hanging out on the top deck being miserable. Ugh, boats.

The remains of some nachos and soda were sitting on the game cabinet as Dave continued to play Stargate Defender. He still hadn't slept. He could probably only communicate in grunts. But his high score was getting up near a million now and he couldn't stop now. He needed to keep his family safe from the alien landers.

... You see, he was imagining that the humanoids were members of his family so that he'd be even more inspired to not let anything bad happen to them. It was the extra drive he needed to really go for the high scores.

Natalie was leaning against the railing on the upper deck, watching the sun setting over the water, yes.

Shush, she liked pretty things as much as the next person, and it had been a weird, occasionally trying vacation. She deserved this.

After finding amazing sales in some of the shops in Boston earlier, Hanna felt like she was having some good luck lately. The casino was a logical destination tonight.

If anyone questioned her age, she had a quality ID that claimed she was 22.

After an interesting trip to Boston (she and Jims were both sporting terribly attractive tricorn hats), Rilla decided that french fries, a hamburger and a chocolate milk shake sounded like heaven for dinner.

Once Ben discovered the bungee trampoline existed, well, good luck getting him off of it.

And if he was defying gravity with some frequency, well, he did it only when the spotter wasn't watching.

Bruce was annoyed. Somehow one of the adult nightclubs actually pegged his ID as fake and refused to let him in since he was only 17. The guy at the door wouldn't even take a bribe or some natural charm.

And so Bruce ended up finding his way over to one of the teen discos. Where they were playing Bieber at the moment.

Bruce wasn't going to admit it, but the thought of buying the cruise line out of spite had crossed his mind.
