Spa at the Monastery, St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Thursday Morning & Afternoon

The weather wasn't much warmer than yesterday - 53 degrees for the Americans, 12 degrees for the rest of the world - and it was a lot more overcast with just an occasional hint of the sun. Thankfully, the rain seemed to be staying away, which was probably more important to those who would actually be venturing outside of the hotel for the Habitat for Humanity build. Those who were staying in had the perfect weather for staying under the covers - with or without someone else.

The pool here was nice, wasn't it? Really nice.

Kate wasn't quite sure why she hadn't spent more time there by this time in the week, but seemed to be making up for it this morning. She'd intended it to be her exercize, but floating around aimlessly was so much more relaxing.

The weather wasn't great, or exciting enough for Chuck to actually be watching it.

But since he had a little time before he planned to leave the hotel, he'd made himself comfortable with a comic to read by the fireplace. It got him out of his room, which was probably a good thing.

Yes, Bruce was once again on the treadmill. Yes, that had been every day of break so far. Who knew what would happen for the end of the trip if the cruise ship didn't have some kind of work out area? It would probably involve Bruce running laps around the deck for an hour. Maybe picking a fight with shuffleboarders.

But for right now he had a treadmill and was happy enough for that.

Ender didn't arrive at the gym anywhere near as early as he usually did. Not that that kept him from his exercise schedule - far from it. He just had to cut out early in order to make it to the site.

Peter, computer, work. The usual routine.

Except for the bit where around noon he finally got up and went to see Topher and Kenzi, as promised, and then went into the city for the promised coffee with Ender afterwards.

Which was fine. He didn't need to deal with Scully getting haughty at him again.

Tyrion had kissed a fish and drunk roughly his actual weight in wine. He figured that justified a day away from the jobs site; besides, he wouldn't be much use as either heavy labor or childminding if he threw up on his shoes. Which seemed imminent.

On the bright side, he was now an honorary Newfie. His father would be so proud of his skill at forming alliances.

He settled in the lobby with a newspaper, half reading stories he didn't understand and half watching the people come and go.

Sam hadn't been out to the work site yet but he figured he could get out there a little later. Right now, he was enjoying the comfort of the bed and taking advantage to doze very, very lightly.

It probably couldn't even be counted as a doze since he was aware of just about everything but it was better than nothing.

Simon had a blue chick (http://fh-trips.livejournal.com/82805.html?thread=16699509#t16699509) with him today. And no, he wasn't going to go work construction with a weetiny bird, so he was choosing to spend time in the lobby, reading the local paper while Ramona pecked at his jacket which he'd laid out beside himself on the couch for her to walk around on. He didn't want to get complaints about ruining the furniture.

The staff had been side-eyeing him, so he'd told them she was the school mascot.

By thursday afternoon, Bart had managed to construct a rather sizable snow fort and had amassed an arsenal of snowballs to throw at any unsuspecting person trying to walk to the hotel.

It was going to be awesome. If anyone showed up. Which so far, they hadn't. This was starting to get boring.
