The top of the tower was a large chamber. Overhead, the bells where in their upright, ready to ring position.

For just a moment, Walter considered using his wires to pull the blocks that held the bells upright, but one, his ears, and two, he wasn't going to pull that kind of prank with a national landmark.

But he did think about it.

Victor was thinking the same thing, too, but he didn't dare whisper it for fear of being caught as an American. Instead, he smiled at the bells and enjoyed their craftmanship before waiting to be lead to a place where he could look out onto London.

There were grate-covered openings in the bell chamber. Walter peered through the grid at the city and pointed in the general direction of the Hellsing manor. "If Hellsing still stands, it's over there."

Victor smiled and nodded, then turned his attention back to the city. Wow, he thought. This is almost as good as the London Eye...

He looked back tht the beels, then back at the city, and wondered just how far the sound of the clock reached.

Technically, the bells can be heard around the world every hour on the hour on BBC radio.

Walter boosted himself up to peer through the grate at the ground below. It would be a matter of moments to cut the grate and climb to the outside...

He may have had an evil look in his eye as he considered it.

Victor tugged at Walter's waistcoat and shook his head. Yeah, it'd be a lot of fun, but they didn't want to have to have a run-in with the authorities, did they?

But he made sure to put a "maybe later" look in his eyes. After all, a kiss on the very top of Big Ben sounded really hot. But, once again, authorities.

[ooc: Hey, I think I need a nap right now. Sorry, but I just feel really tired. I'll catch up with this in a few hours...]

Aww. Walter was going to have to content himself with the bit of breaking and entering they'd done as far as causing trouble in London went.

He let himself down and went back to looking out at the city. Granted, they'd seen all this from the Eye, but it was definitely different to be in the clock tower.

He ignored the tour guide's droning until it seemed that things were wrapping up to walk back down.

Victor waited until they were outside and well away from the tour before he spoke again. "So, how differet was that from your time?"

"I never took an official tour, but the tower hasn't really changed. Do you enjoy it, even if we had to lie to get in?"

"Yeah, it was pretty good. I'd hate to be int here when those bells are ringing, though." Then, he grinned and gave Walter a conspirital look. "Too bad we couldn't sneak up tot he top of the tower. It would've been a great place to ~~make out~~ get some footage, y'know?"

"If we were here one more night, I'd say we should chance it, but during the day is taking a foolish risk." He shrugged and began slowly walking along, enjoying the familiar and the new. "Can you think of anything you've missed before we go back to Fandom?"

A proper English gentleman is coming down the sidewalk in a proper English suit with a proper English bowler hat, briefcase, and black umbrella.

His ridiculously long legs on the other hand are all over the place.

"Morning." he says to the two young men in a low voice as he prances past.

"Good morning," Victor replied, giving a smile and a little wave. Aside to Walter, he added, "Well he was nice. But back to your question. Yeah, I'd like to see Buckingham Palace, if we could. I wonder if the Queen's in today."

"Morning," Walter acknowledged, taking in the man and wondering why he resembled one of the men in red robes they'd seen at the Eye.

"We could go see. She was just the princess in my time. Alucard is rather fond of her..." he trailed off. Really, though, he couldn't not talk about a large part of his life just because Alucard had been in it.

"Really?"

Victor slowed his pace for a moment as he thought about something. Days ago, he had decided to stop being afraid that Nadia was going to steal Walter away. Maybe it was time to try and do the same for the memory of Alucard.

"Hey...hang on a second," he said, gently taking Walter's arm and leading him to the side of the pavement so they wouldn't be in anyone's way. Once there, he faced his boyfriend and looked him in the eyes.

"Okay, maybe it's time to say this, since you brought it up. I love you, and I know you love me, so...if you need to talk about Alucard, don't hold back for my sake, okay? I need to stop being so scared that we're not going to be together and just enjoy what we have, y'know?" He loooked at Walter's shoes and blushed a little. "You rock my socks. I just wanted to let you know all that."

"Thanks."

Walter smiled and leaned his forehead against Victor's. "I think that sounds like a very good idea." After all, who had Walter chosen? Still here they were in the middle of London in broad daylight, and he just felt a bit... restrained.

"Do you still want to see the palace?"

"Yes, I would. And later on, I'd like to see what kind of spa stuff they ahve around here." He elaned in and whispered in Walter's ear, "Our massage lotion's getting low." He pulled back and grinned, then turned and resumed his walk. "So where is this place, anyway?"
