The evening weather was warmer tonight than it had been for most of the week, as if the Big Island knew its guests from a smaller island would be leaving soon, and wanted to help them make the most of their final days in the tropics. From the beach near the hotel came the oddly un-jarring scent combination of hibiscus flowers and roast pork, as the Friday Night Luau started to swing.
