"For you? A tenner," the NPC vendor said cheerily.

Angela blushed a little but let Marty pay.

"Now we need to find something for you," she insisted. "Vintage suit, maybe?"

"Trying to turn me into an English dandy are you?" Marty says laughing as he pays off the vendor. "Think I'd look good in a bowler cap?"

Angela's eyes lit up. "Yes! AND you need a cane, too," she laughed, dragging Marty by the hand over to a stall that had such things. "You'll totally fit in.

"Fit in where? At the cafeteria at school? I'd be a laughing stock!"

He may be protesting but he's got his eye on a certain dark suit.

Angela looked at him skeptically. "I meant fitting in in London. Though I hate to break it to you? But most of the kids in our class don't wear suits every day."

She tilted her head, following Marty's line of sight. "You like that one?" she asked.

"I can't help it if the rest of the guys in school are fashion impaired," Marty said in light tone before his eyes zeroes back in on the jacket again. "Well, the pinstripes are a nice change of pace, don't you think?"

Parker wandered over from a booth with silk scarves, and cocked her head at the suit Marty was eyeing. "Hi guys. Pinstripes? Tell me you're actually going to vary your wardrobe a little."

"You have a problem with the way I dress Parker?" Marty said trying on a bowler cap. "I would think that someone like you would appreciate a guy who takes the time to wear a suit to class everyday."

"I do, you're one of the few guys at school I'd trust to dress himself on all occasions-- but navy! Grey! And yes, pinstripe, are all options too. You and Wings have the same fallback position on color, and you're both taking a shortcut that I want to cut off." She grinned. "Try it on, Angela's right."

"I like the black!" Angela protested loyally. Then, looking down at herself, "But I also like flannel. So."

"Anyhow, yeah, try it on."

Marty shoots Angela a grateful look and the n pulls off the grey flannel with pinstripes off the rack and puts it on.

"What do you think?"

Parker just grinned and gave him a thumb's up.

Marty look over at Angela and tipped his hat at her. "What do you think, daaaarling?" he said in his worst british accent ever.

Angela just grinned and nodded. "It's good."

While Marty tried on the suit, Angela sidled over to Parker. "So how are you guys doing on the research end?" she asked.

"Rory and Xander think we have something, but we need to fax or email it back to Fandom-- their Latin's good, but not up to the thing they found. They want to make sure they're reading it right, but it looks like there's some magic healing ingredients we could track down, probably here, and send back." She smiled half-heartedly. "I'm just wishing I took Ancient Languages instead of brushing up on my French and Spanish last term."

"Mr. Giles back in Fandom used to be a watcher. Maybe he can do some translating for us? Point us in the right direction?"

Parker's eyes narrowed, then she nodded. "Probably. God knows, the way Xander talks about the guy, he doesn't lack in the brains department. And he knows enough Latin to warn Xander not to read it in front of the books."

Angela raised an eyebrow. "What happens if he does? Xander, I mean."

"But talking to Mr. Giles sounds like a good start."

"Hopefully he can figure out something from the books you guys found last night," Marty said paying off the vendor for the suit and the hat. (And a couple of handwavey items for people back home)

"I'll call V later and tell her that will send some scanned images of the books over to the book shop later. In the meantime, you guys want to grab some lunch?"

"Definitely. Shopping makes me work up an appetite."

"Awesome," Angela said. "I'm hungry too. Where are we going?"

Angela giggled at the mental image. "Okay, I would have paid to see that."

"I thought he looked a little singed last night," Marty said chuckling as well.
