"What makes you think now that it wasn't a dream?" Marty asked with a slighty confused expression.

Music? What music?

"I'm not sure. It just never really felt like one, and .... maybe Fandom's broadened my mind," Angela said, a puzzled look on her face.

She grinned as she looked at the jewels behind glass. "Oooh. Pretty."

Marty admired the view. Whether he was looking at the jewels or Angela? He's not telling.

"So what did you talk to the mystery guy about?" Marty asked.

"I was trying to convince him not to do something," Angela said. "My old school there was this kid who was, like, mythical. He had died playing a prank on Halloween night in the 60's. I was trying to talk him out of the thing that killed him."

"He didn't listen," she added, shortly. "Like I said, it was probably just a random dream. It was a strange night anyhow, we kind of broke into the school and got stuck there." She leaned against a column, considering the story.

"The weirdest thing was that he gave me a rose, and I found a dried rose in my book the next day. So who knows?"

Marty cocked an eyebrow at the story. "That's sounds like something almost out of the Twilight Zone. Then again it was Halloween right? Maybe it really was a ghost. Have you told anyone else about it?"
chasingangela: (longing)

"I mentioned it in sociology once, when Grissom asked us to write about something supernatural that had happened to us, or something like that," Angela said. "Oh, and Tara Maclay and Rory, when we found out Tara was dead. But it makes me sound like a flake, so I don't advertise it."

Marty paused a little before asking in a quiet voice, "Any reason why you never told me?"

Angela recognized a certain note in his voice and winced at it. "No," she said, attempting a light tone. "I just don't think about it much. Didn't mean to be keeping secrets."

"Okay," Marty said feeling somewhat goofy for even bringing the question up. "Just curious is all. What do you want to see next?"

"Gift shop? I'm serious about getting a friend for Maurice," Angela suggested. "And then we should go back to the hotel and find Parker."

Marty laughed and headed over to the gift shop. "Are you sure that an English bear will get along with a French bear? It could get a little hairy between them."

Angela mulled this over as she stood before the display of stuffed animals. "I'll keep them on opposite sides of the bed to avoid the Seven Years' War. Besides, < ahref="http://pics.livejournal.com/chasingangela/pic/0002yhe6/g33">look how cute."

Marty "Awww'ed" appropriately at the cute bear. "I love the little uniform. It's very cute. However I'll deny that I said anything of the sort in more manly company."
chasingangela: (eyeroll)

"It's totally about the uniform, and the hat. But your secret is safe with me," Angela said, pulling out her wallet as they moved toward the cashier.

"This was fun. I hope we have time to be tourists again before we go home."

Marty sighed a little. "How about this? After whatever we have to do with our little research thing tonight? Let's do some serious touristy stuff tomorrow."
chasingangela: (dorky smile)

"Sounds like a plan, Mr. Blank," Angela told him. "I want to see some of the museums, at least, and do some shopping."

"Ready to brave the train back to the hotel?"

Smiling happily, Angela took his arm and the bag containing the bear, and they left the Tower.
