3/5 - Leicester Square

Various members of the school trip are on a pub crawl... or rather, a hunt for the Watcher's Council, 14 Leicester Square.

They've gotten a tip from a crystal ball, and are looking for a sign.

And possibly? Tweed.

In a corner of the library

Angela had wandered a bit away from most of the researchers and was staring at the walls of books, her hands behind her back.

A tall, skinny, vaguely elfin girl seemed to appear near her. "Are you looking for something?"

"I'm not sure?" Angela said, face scrunched up. "I have this friend who's a vampire, and he was, like, poisoned, and he might die. And there's supposed to be a book in here that could help him. Somewhere."

The girl made a face. "You're friends with a vampire?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I am," Angela said, a little defensive. "He has a soul, and everything. So he's kind of unique." She paused for a moment. "Do you work here, or something?"

"Or something. I'm Amanda." The girl nodded. "Another vampire with a soul, huh? I don't think we have anything good about poisons for vampires here."

"Really?" Angela said. "But -- but we know a watcher, back home, and he sent us here. And the guy out front told us we could look around." She looked kind of like she had just watched someone run over her puppy.

Amanda shook her head sadly. "We don't have a lot of good books here. There's another library kept by one of the old watchers that I think might have the right book, but he won't let us have them. He's kind of a big dick."

Angela bit her lower lip. That figured. "Who's the dick?" she asked. "Maybe someone could talk to him."

"Roger Wyndam-Pryce. If you're not a watcher? And I mean, one of the old watchers from before the explosion? He probably won't listen." Amanda shrugged. "Sorry."

"Wyndam-Pryce?" Angela asked. "I think his son used to go to school with us. He was sort of a twerp."

Amanda frowned. "That can't be right. I think Wesley was way older. But if he was anything like his dad? He'd definitely be a twerp."

"Yeah, Wesley," Angela agreed. "He would come into the library and be all snotty at us aides. Plus, he turned my friend Zero into a cat. Our school is kind of weird, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was supposed to be older than he was. I'm supposed to be older than I am."

"Oh." Amanda looked around, then leaned forward. "My school was weird, too. I hope your vampire friend will be okay."

"Thanks," Angela said, with a little bit of a smile. "I hope so too. There has to be some way to cure Angel, right?"

Amanda's eyes widened. "Angel? He's your vampire with a soul?"

"Uh-huh," Angela said. "Are there a lot of them?"

Amanda's eyebrows drew together. "Only two, I think. Angel and Spike. But last I heard they were both in LA."

"I think he spent some time in L.A. He's in Virginia now, though," Angela said, running a hand through her hair. "I don't know, there's all kinds of freaky dimensional stuff, so maybe yours is in L.A. and ours isn't."

"Well, I guess that makes sense. Do you have your own Buffy and Andrew, too?"

"We had a Buffy. She was .... really shy, I guess. Angel said she was different from his Buffy. Not an Andrew, though." Angela's eyes widened. "Wait, are you from Sunnydale?"

"Yup. I went to Sunnydale High with Dawn. I don't think I'd ever describe Buffy as being 'shy' though. Your world must be very different from mine."

"I don't know Dawn, but yeah, it sounds like our worlds are different." Angela shrugged, sort of used to this by now. "Xander Harris is around, if you want to say hi."

Amanda looked excited for a moment. "He's here?" Then her face fell. "He probably wouldn't be able to see me anyway. Thanks, though."

"He's not that busy," Angela said, then let it drop. She probably didn't know this girl's Xander anyhow. "But no problem. I'm going to go find my friends -- maybe we'll be able to figure out a way to get the book from the Wyndam-Pryces."

"Okay, good luck!"

"Thanks," Angela called back, and went off to find Parker or Marty.

"I think so," Angela said eagerly. "You remember that twit, Wesley? Apparently his dad was a watcher and has most of the good books. This girl from Sunnydale who works here told me."

Angela furrowed her brow in concentration. "Not exactly," she admitted reluctantly. "I kind of forgot to ask. But the name's so unusual, we should be able to find their house, right?"

"His dad's name is Roger. She said he was kind of a dick."

Angela shook her head, gesturing towards the corner where she had talked to Amanda. "She was over that way. I can't see her from here."
