3/5 - Leicester Square

Various members of the school trip are on a pub crawl... or rather, a hunt for the Watcher's Council, 14 Leicester Square.

They've gotten a tip from a crystal ball, and are looking for a sign.

And possibly? Tweed.

Walter pulled out a cigarette of her own to add to the bar's ambience and nodded. "Yeah, you could say that."

The accent's right, only the decade's wrong, after all.

The guy looked over at the girl named Walter with the green kid who isn't a demon.

He looked at the extraordinary collection of teens around him and then seemed to be listening to something.

"Are you kids looking for something?"

"Nothing actually worth shaking down the bartender for," Xander answered. "That was mostly a nostalgia thing. All we need's an address. 14 Leicester Square? We've been walking in circles all around this block and can't find it."

Bugger.

The guy shifted his weight and took the group of kids again.

Well of course they're looking for 14 Leicester Square.

He shook his head.

Not. Going. To get involved.

"Go out the front door." And away from me.

"Across the street is a building with a green door. Don't go behind the green door. To the right of that building as you face it is a narrow ally, it's behind a potted tree so you'll need to squeeze behind that. You'll see a staircase going up."

He stubbed out the nub of the fag he was smoking and pulled out a fresh one.

"Have fun."

"And we'll find the entrance in a dis-used bathroom with a sign on the door that says Beware of the Leopard?" Xander might have rolled his eyes, just the tiniest fraction. "God, all Watchers are drama queens. I'd say it's in the genes if they ever wore anything but tweed."

The guy chuckled in spite of himself.

"I hope you find what you're looking for."

He turned back to the bar.

Parker shot the smoker a penetrating look, and smiled. "You wouldn't steer us wrong-- would you?"

The guy looked back to Parker.

"What would that acomplish? I told you to look behind a potted plant. What do you lose if I have? It's not like Hell's legiona got nothing better to do then hanging out behind urban greenery waiting to jump out at the 'Jr. Watcher Scouts' and yell 'BOO!'"

Parker gave him a look, then said, "And the fact that you know who we're looking for? Not conducive to trust. We'll be back if you're messing with us. Fair warning. And thanks so much."

"If it's such a secret tell the comedian over there," he motions to Xander, "that maybe he shouldn't be doing the talking."

He turned back to his beer.

"I'm confident you'll not be back. But I'm sure it'll be fun if you are..."

Some people shouldn't give up smoking.
