Atlantis Resort - Tuesday [Adventures]

After a perfect first day lounging on the white beaches, Atlantis beckoned to its guests, calling them to explore and experience the adventures of a lifetime in its many amazing aquatic activities. The time was right to try something new!

It wouldn't do for guests to forget that it's better in the Bahamas!

Loki wasn't typically one to do shit like this but even he was overcome by the adorableness of the fucking dolphins. He slipped into the shallow end of the water so he could get himself geared up for a deep water swim.

He'd been alive a fucking thousand years and never gotten to swim with dolphins. Really couldn't turn down the chance now.

Dinah was thrilled to be able to get into one of the early groups, and was bouncing on her toes, waiting her turn to go in and swim with the dolphins. Eeee!

Sookie was almost afraid to go play with the dolphins. But she also figured that not only would they not hurt her, but she'd regret it forever if she didn't try this.

So she was a bit timid when she first joined a group, but by the time she was able to actually pet a dolphin (it smiled at her!), it was like she was a natural.

Sure, Summer had technically "swam" with dolphins on her numerous expeditions but she'd never been this close. She was looking forward to the deep water swim.

There was a good chance she would never forget this experience.

Swimming with dolphins? Totally worth missing the Olympics for.

No way was Mulan going to miss the opportunity to swim with dolphins. She was so excited and anxious as she awaited her turn.

With a lazy first couple of days under her belt, Angela was going more for the experiences today, and come on there was no way she was missing out on swimming with dolphins. Who would?

This was - bloody, freaking amazing, and George geared up, trying to learn the unfamiliar equipment quickly so he could check it out.

There were dolphins. Dolphins! Not only was she swimming in the ocean (something that never got dull, truly), but she was swimming with dolphins. It didn't matter that they weren't kindred dolphins, they were still playful and cute and a lot of fun.

"Dolphins! Dolphins! Dolphins! Dolphins!"

Momoko didn't so much wait in line, as she did bounce, much to the anguish of the parents behind her who had just gotten their probably borderline ADHD kids settled down after the waterslides.

But, but, but... DOLPHINS! She was totally wanting one of the foot push rides, too, because how could that not be awesome? Seriously!

Swimming with dolphins? Clark was all over that, grinning like mad and having a lot of fun playing with the foot push. His excitement made it a task keeping himself from kicking too hard and propelling the machine.

Zayne was curious about what exactly a dolphin was, so he took a trip to Dolphin Cay.

It should be no surprise that Zayne made friends with the dolphins very quickly.

Don't... don't ask how he'd been talked into this.

Just don't.

Cable was writing it off as a survival exercise; Jan was having the time of her life splashing around.

Cable just hovered.

Bod was still a little leery about spending a lot of time in the sun considering his pale skin but this place and this pool were absolutely amazing so he decided to risk.

Shirt off, Bod slipped into the pool, wading easily and splashing water on his face to get accustomed. The waterfalls were drawing his attention and he headed towards those.

The Current

Puck liked rides and so forth where he didn't have to exert any effort himself. So today, he got himself an innertube to ride around in this current thing.

The ride was bumpier than he expected, so there was more than a few moments during which Puck frantically looked around to see if anyone had seen him topple out of the tube. Thankfully, no one hot seemed to.

Most of the time, Jonas didn't like to jump in without assessing new situations but this was something he just couldn't pass up. After being absolutely fascinated by the creatures in the exhibit, he'd gotten enough courage to actually decide that he wanted to be even more up close.

So, even if the goggles and snorkel made him look silly, there was no denying his excitement at getting a chance to do something he'd never thought he'd do.

Jack was mesmerized by the displays of artifacts and by the colorful sea creatures. He reached out to tap a finger against the glass, curious what reaction he'd get, then and jumped back himself when a ray came at him.

Hoping no one had seen him flinch, he tucked his hands firmly behind his back as he roamed the rest of the aquarium.

Having so far dismissed the water park, shopping, food and the casino, Angela was still looking for something that would actually interest her.

This would not be it. She walked around for ten minutes, scowling at all the fish, and finally complained, "This is boring."

Having been to planets like Ithor and Mon Calamari, you'd think something like a marine habitat on Earth wouldn't be that much of a source of fascination for Tahiri. It was, though, for much the same reason as the beach intrigued her. Everything was new and different these days, like she was rediscovering the entire universe.

If she occasionally stopped and stared in at a school of fish with something close to reverential awe on her face, it really was what she felt: both the Yuuzhan Vong and Jedi parts of her had a deep and innate respect for life in its many forms, and finding the balance between them got easier every day.

Yesterday was all about the sea lions. Today? Manta rays!

The marine life in Minnesota wasn't anywhere near as cool as this. She was suddenly starting to understand people who became marine biology majors. . . .

There was only so long that even Effy could wander the beach and lounge around there without getting bored and needing a change of scenery. So come afternoon she took herself off to sample a little of the other entertainment.

Swimming lazily around and watching the fish was about her pace on holiday, and she could intersperse it with floating on her back on the surface and catching a bit of sun. Not bad.
