Atlantis Resort - Monday [Adventures]

Just because paradise had arrived didn't mean everyone had to sit around and do nothing all day. For that exact purpose, the good men and women of Atlantis Resorts had made sure there was a cornucopia of places to visit and entertain yourself with. Whether it was the waterslides you were after, or the adorable dolphins, the Bahamas had something for every occasion!

Dolphin Cay

Have a hankering to spend time with these lovely mammals? Go for a deep water swim, or a shallow water meet-up! And if dolphins aren't quite your style, there's also a lovely sea lion program running today.

There was something a little hard to resist about this particular adventure. Bod had never gotten to see marine animals up close and, after some thought, decided on the shallow water meet up. His swimming skills were adequate but he wanted more to enjoy the dolphins than to concentrate on swimming.

Imagine that, dolphins were enough to actually make him smile. Considering how things had been going for the past several months, that was quite an accomplishment.

Didi noticed Bod smiling and smiled back at him as she waded over. "Are they tickling you, too?" she asked. "They keep nuzzling me to say hi."

"I'm not very ticklish but that hasn't stopped them from nuzzling me," said Bod, picking a hand out of the water to greet Didi with a wave. "They're very friendly. I can honestly say this is the first time someone's nuzzled me to say hello."

Didi eagerly waded into the shallow end, and found herself giggling helplessly when the dolphins came over to say hi.

Dolphin noses tickled.

"Wooohoooo!" Robin and his new friends had invented a game. It involved them flipping him into the air with their tails or noses and sending him splashing back down into the water.

He bobbed to the surface, giggling.

Claudia had resigned herself to not getting anything useful done, this week. That didn't mean she wasn't going to get anything done. . . .

She wasn't one for dolphins -- she'd read too many creepy stories about what happened when they got bored -- but sea lions? She could totally dig sea lions.

They had whiskers, okay?

There were a lot of things Ellie planned to do during this vacation. Meeting the dolphins was at the top of that list. She'd meet the sea lions another time.

For now, she wandered into the shallow water where the dolphins greeted her.

Mirax was sticking to the shallow water, but the dolphins were too great to pass up. They were smiley and rubbery-feeling and was it possible to get one of these back to Fandom? Even a little possible?

"Wheeeeeee!!!" The wee tiny frog had made a friend. Robin was small enough that he could actually ride on the back of one of the dolphins. The trainers said her name was Kiki.

Leda wasn't confident enough in her swimming abilities yet to go in the deep water. But even if she hadn't already been in a good mood, the dolphin who wouldn't leave her alone would have put her there.

Naomi knew that she was definitely going to spend some time with the dolphins, so she was there in the shallow water meet up.

Water Adventures

For the more sports-oriented folks among you, Atlantis has several options in her sports program. Get a snorkel or a scuba set and take a dive into the warm waters! Or if that is a little bit too much exercise for you, there's a Sharks Adventure walk today for any and all who'd rather risk their lives without exertion.

Grotto Pool

While Jaina thought later in the week she'd be happy to try one of the snuba things, she was a little afraid she'd be tired of fish if she went this early. Instead she headed out to the pool, completely ignored the thrall of just sitting there and getting sunburned, and went for a swim instead.

Mayan Temple Pool

After having an amazing lie in, Hannibal somehow found his way to this area of Atlantis. And, once there, he didn't know if he ever wanted to leave it.

He found a spot on top of one of the rocks and dove in. Yeah, he'd be there awhile, acting like he was five again. He loved vacations.

Cove Beach (Snorkel Adventure)

Claire had spent yesterday being lazy and soaking up the sun. Today she was anxious to get out and do stuff.

So she headed to Cove Beach for the snorkeling adventure. Maybe later this week she would try scuba diving.

Shark Adventure Lagoon

Alex decided to try out the Shark Adventure walk. She found herself mesmerized, watching as they swam all around the tube. That was pretty cool and she was enjoying herself immensely.
