Kellerman's Resort, Saturday Evening, October 17th

It was the last night of a magical week here at Kellerman's. It could only be hoped that everyone had the time of their lives. That they'd never felt this way before.

But we swear it's the truth.

And they owe it all to the wonderful camp for putting up with everyone's shenanigans. Bobby.

Beka eyes widened and she shook her head. "No, I'd rather not. Mages can't put magic on you without getting your permission."

"Is magic bad where you're from?" Hayley asked. That seemed the only explanation.

"Tis bad when it's used to do harm," Beka replied. "Magic is a part of my world. Mages can be dangerous as much as they can be helpful. I've plenty of things that have spells on them, but I'll not have a mage make me feel aught."

"Why wouldn't I?" Hayley said. "It works better than anything."

"Because it's naught but magic," Beka replied, not understanding Hayley's reasoning. "It's not real."

Beka shook her head. "You feel good eating ice cream because you enjoy it," she said. "You feel good with Raven because she's forcing your mind to feel sommat that it's not choosing to feel."
