Disneyland [Day Three]

It was another beautiful day in Anaheim. Some morning clouds will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon with a high 87F.

There might be some clouds in the Fandomites hotel rooms this morning however. When folks awoke, they would find notes informing them that they needed to bring the kids to the LAX terminal to catch their portals home at the end of the day.

[wait for ocd up! have fun!]

Woe it's almost time to say goodbye to the kids! There will be a post up in about six hours for great SP/time zone justice.

And, yes, the alums get to stay in Disney one more day.

As always, if this post gets too big, another will go up and if you need anything, ping me here or on AIM (evilenabler).

Today, Savannah, Johnny, Kristofer and Storm were starting out with a visit to New Orleans Square as that was the area that had a lot of the attractions they all anted to see.

Savannah was keeping a good grip on her daughter's hand after yesterday's panic.

Cole and Phoebe, the twins, and Phaedra and Psyche were wandering through Adventureland. Phoebe hoped that they could avoid any of the park people in costume giving her boyfriend the wrong ideas.

She could so see trying to explain to the police that he had fireballed Donald and Mickey because he thought they were demons.

She was expecting to meet up with Adam and Eve as well, since she had Phaedra. Psyche and Phaedra had become almost attached to the hip and that could be a recipe for dis --

"Phaedra and Psyche! You are not taking over the Jungle Cruise ride and being the captain. That's called piracy and you are not pirates!"

Peri and Thea seemed to find this idea hilarious and cheered on their sisters.

This was going to be an interesting day.

Don't think Jen couldn't get into any trouble all by herself. Someone had researched Disneyland a little too thoroughly and was going to spend all day trying to find every single hidden Mickey (http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/) in the park.

Oh, don't think she wouldn't.

There weren't too many on Main Street, though, which didn't stop her from going around politely excusing herself to people sitting on benches or waiting in line at the train depot, so she could get a little closer and peer at the design on a fencepost.

Or using her visual scanners to zoom out and get a wide-angle.

This was SERIOUS BUSINESS. Fun serious business, granted.

Glitz had fallen asleep mid-sentence last night, exhausted from a day of being a glowy and extremely talkative pirate.

Ziya had lasted a little longer, glad to have Stark to herself for a little while, and had finally fallen asleep curled up against him in a little blue ball.

Stark hadn't slept much, again, so when the note was delivered under the door he read it almost immediately. And almost immediately wished he hadn't. He knew they weren't his to keep, not really, but that wasn't going to make this any easier. It was a very sad Banik who watched over the two children in his room until they awoke.

"You sure they're not mine?" Cole had to ask, grinning.

Jen's Hidden Mickey quest carried on in Adventureland, where she absolutely did not nearly fall off the Jungle Cruise boat trying to peer over the sides for that pattern. Shh. She had way, way too much fun using the various lighting modes on her repaired visual scanners to find the hidden Mickeys in the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/Adventure/Indy.html), though -- who needed a flashlight, anyway?

Wow, there were a lot of hidden Mickeys in there.

Phoebe grinned at him. "From what they have both told me, you've had a hand in raising them so they kind of are yours."

"That's my girls," Cole said. "Tell them to heave to and prepare to be boarded."

By the time Jen made it to New Orleans Square in her search (http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/NewOrleansSquare.html), the cast members must've been talking about the Insane HM Quester, because a few of them smothered laughs behind their hands as Jen went by, peering at things.

And no, none of the CMs would let her into Club 33 to look for some there. Jen did not actually try and pull an 'I'm with law enforcement' maneuver to get into Club 33, but boy, was she tempted.

Not too many HMs (http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/CritterCountry.html) in Critter Country, seemed like; that was a little disappointing, but, well . . . Splash Mountain had been fun.

Even if Jen would never, ever tell anyone that going down the drop like that in a fiberglass log with minimal safety restraints was far too disturbing and she never wanted to do that again, thanks.

Besides, she was pretty sure she'd missed a hidden Mickey or two on the first trip. Ahem.
