Oxford Street (http://www.oxfordstreet.co.uk/home.html) shopping, eating, people watching in London's West End.

Don't forget those exchange rates (http://www.xe.com/).

3/4 - Buckingham Palace - Historical (Royal Residence)

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Buckingham Palace (http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page555.asp), where "Her Maj" lives...

Just leave those poor Guards (http://static.flickr.com/36/74911757_26b56c6bfe.jpg?v=0) alone.

Unless you enjoy trying to get some dude fired. Then? Go to town.

3/4 - Little Venice - Take A Canal Ride

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Little Venice (http://www.offtolondon.com/littlevenice.html), about a square mile within London's Maida Vale district, is one of the more exclusive residential districts in central London. When the Grand Union Canal was opened in 1820, the area was home to artists, writers and prostitutes. Today, Little Venice is a bit more genteel. The area is comprised of about ten tree-lined streets with beautiful 17th century white stucco homes plus shops on Formosa Street and Clifton Gardens. Easy access to Oxford Street, the West End, Paddington Station and even Heathrow make this oasis on near London's canals a much coveted, fashionable and expensive address.

Wax Museum (http://www.madame-tussauds.co.uk/)...

This place is kinda creepy.

So life like... It's almost as if Mike Tyson is gonna jump over the velvet rope and just bite your ear.

British shopping center or something like it (http://www.harrods.com/Cultures/en-GB/homepageindex.htm).

Harrods > Macy's because Macy's doesn't sell such delightful cheeses.

3/4 - The Regent's Park - Outside

The Regent's Park (http://www.royalparks.gov.uk/parks/regents_park/) has a fantastic landscape designed by renowned architect John Nash, and the largest outdoor sports area in London. It is known as the 'jewel in the crown' and covers 197 hectares (487 acres including Primrose Hill)

3/4 - Bond Street - Shopping

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
Street... Bond Street (http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/mayfair/bs_intro.htm).

Home to the most elegant and expensive shops in London. Designer clothing such as Gucci and Armani; perfume; art and antiques; and more Royal Warrant holders (suppliers to the royal family) than anywhere else in London. New Bond Street is a few minutes walk from Bond Street Station, connected by pedestrian-only South Molton Street, and Old Bond Street is the short section at the Southern end which joins Piccadilly.
