The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship - Evening and On]

The ship had returned to sea at 5pm, horns blaring as they exited the port, headed for a full Tuesday at sea. Of course, the day wasn't over for the people aboard. But whether they were in the mood for a cozy space to sip cocktails with someone special or a swanky place to savor a cigar and make new friends, Crown Princess was ready to provide the evening with plenty of entertainment.

"Um, there was a glass bottomed boat ride," he said. "I went on that and saw some fish!"

"Oh, oh, oh, ain't the fishies the prettiest things ever? Like swimmin' jewels," she said, her eyes wide.

"They were really colorful," he said seriously. "Before, I thought all fish looked like goldfish and there were some colors that I don't think I've ever seen before. And they were so close!"

"I went swimmin' with 'em!" she said delightedly. "They're sooooooooooo shiny!"

"With the big straw-thing, yeah," she said, nodding gleefully. "It was fun!"

"Snorkel," he supplied right as the waiter came over for their drink order. Ned decided just on a Sprite.

Kaylee couldn't remember what it was called, but she painstakingly described the pink nonalcoholic drink with the cherries and the fizz and the sweetness the other day.

The waiter finally figured out she meant a Shirley Temple. After more lengthy, lengthy explanation.

Kaylee had really liked it, okay.

"I dunno what's so confusin' about fizzy an' cherries," Kaylee admitted.

"I think it's because it's sort of vague?" Ned tried. "There's a lot of drinks that could be both fizzy and made with cherries so you had to be a little more specific so he wouldn't bring you back a 7-UP with a cherry in it."

"Cherry 7-UP!" Ned clarified. "That's pink too."

He guessed. He'd never actually seen one.

"I never had that," she said, her eyes wide. "Should I change my order? 'Cause this one's got cherries in it."

"No, no," Ned said, shaking his head. "No, I got a Sprite and it's sort of like 7-Up so you can share if you wanna see how it kind of tastes!"

"Okay!" she said happily. "An' you can have one of my cherries. But right now you should lean over a lil'."

"The fish weren't better?" he asked, shooting a brief smile of thanks at the waiter when he brought the drinks and gave them a little more time to pick out food.

"The fish was pretty, but you're always better," she assured him before squeaking with delight at the fact that they'd given her extra cherries.

Probably to shut her up.

"I ain't sure what half of this stuff is so I'm prolly just gonna close my eyes an' point to somethin' when he comes back," she admitted.
