The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship - Evening and On]

The ship had returned to sea at 5pm, horns blaring as they exited the port, headed for a full Tuesday at sea. Of course, the day wasn't over for the people aboard. But whether they were in the mood for a cozy space to sip cocktails with someone special or a swanky place to savor a cigar and make new friends, Crown Princess was ready to provide the evening with plenty of entertainment.

"Completely! Spent the whole day at the beach." Dinah had finally noticed what Ronan was... sorta wearing. "That's an amazing outfit," she said, voice a little strangled.

"Thanks," Ronan replied, grinning. "I had a lot of fun picking it out. I really like your dress!"

Dinah grinned at him, and twirled around, still a little flushed. "Thanks! I still don't look 18 according to the bartender, though." She shrugged in resignation. "Dance with me anyway?"

"Well," Ronan said, "I am eighteen, so if you want a drink just let me know. My treat!"

"Thank you! And not whiskey, definitely. Gah." Dinah shook her head. "Maybe some alcohol to take back to the room, sometime? OOo, champagne! I've never had that."

"We can definitely do champagne," Ronan agreed. "Perhaps some vodka, too, for mixing?" He glanced over at the bar. "Want anything now? How 'bout a Dangerous Liaison?"

"Ooo!" Dinah nodded, thrilled. "What's in that? Or is it more fun if I don't know?"

Ronan began to move toward the bar, assuming that Dinah would follow. "Tia Maria and cointreau," he explained. "And sweet and sour mix."

Dinah followed him through the dancers to the bar, hyped up and trying not to show it. And wondering what Helena would say about this.

Helena was in New Jersey. Ha!

"So it'll taste good?"

"Well, I've never had one," Ronan admitted. "I tend to stick to, y'know. Guinness. But I'll try one if you will!"

"Sounds fair to me!" Dinah leaned against the bar and tried to look sophisticated. The hair being up helped. The height helped.

The wide eyes, not so much.

Ronan ordered the two drinks, and though the bartender did glance skeptically at Dinah, he made the order regardless. Ronan passed over the money for it and then held out Dinah's drink. "Thoughts?" he asked, as he sipped at his.

Dinah took a careful sip, eyes widening, then nodded in pleasure. "Much better than shots. As nice as mojitos." She took a little lick of the alcohol again, and beamed at him. "Thank you!"

And hopefully tomorrow, she wouldn't be regretting this.

Ronan would try to make sure that she got a lot of water, too, so as to attempt to ward off any hangovers.

"Want to dance?" he asked.

Dinah nodded eagerly, head bobbing a little. "Sure!" She had a thought, and somehow ended up sharing it, not sure if he could hear it: Tango!

Ronan laughed aloud and sent back, Of course! Want me to talk to the DJ? There was a pause. This makes talking in clubs a LOT easier.

Dinah giggled, fingers tightening briefly on Ronan's wrist. It does! And yes! Another flash, a moment of doubt: I've never tangoed though. Help me?

Ronan grinned. Will do, he sent back, before pulling away a moment to make a request (with judicious application of a few bills) of the DJ. He didn't have any actual tangoes, but there were certainly some Latin songs that would suffice.

In fact, by the time Ronan made his way back to Dinah, the song in question was just starting. You ready? he asked, as he came back in contact.

Dinah lit up, nodding, swaying with the beat already, tingly from alcohol and the music. Yes yes! Lead me around, Mister Tango Teacher?

Thump thump thump, thump thump, THUMP. Dinah was sure her feet couldn't find the beat, but it was fun to try, and Ronan was so pretty.

A fast image of him and Tony flashed through her mind, and she turned red, head ducking forward. Sorry?

Ronan just laughed, and sent the images of the tango directly to Dinah. Easier this way than trying to tell you, he said.

He ignored the image of himself and Tony, although he did grin a little at the thought that Dinah was thinking about it.

Dinah fit her steps to the beat in Ronan's mind, and it was almost like she could dance. Whee! Back side slide, and twirl out, twirl in, and beam at Ronan, swaying and buzzed and happy. And this would be part of what had Tony buzzing around Ronan: he made things fun.

I love Spring Break! I'm so glad I get to stay! A fast image of Barbara's face, relenting and amused.

Twirl twirl twirl and whoops, body-slam into Ronan. Eeee! And mental laughter.

You'll have to tell me that story, he said. About why you almost didn't get to stay. But for now, dancing!

Dancing! And total unabashed glee in it, and the music and the warmth of the dance floor.
