The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

[OOC: The Princess Bridge Cam is fantastic. Cabins Post | Star Deck | Sun Deck | Promenade Deck | Cays Cruise | Snorkeling | Beach]

"If you say so," Gavin said and tried to splash some ocean water at John's face.

John squirted water at Gavin from his fist in return. "You having a good time with the roomie?"

"Haven't really talked to her much," Gavin admitted. "I got in there yesterday, hung out for a bit and then hit the track. They have a track. On the ship."

"Really? I thought this place was all about the food."

"I think it's all about everything," he said. "This boat might be bigger than Tatooine."

"Definitely nicer, just the seventeen pools alone," John quipped.

"A swamp might be nicer than Tatooine," Gavin retorted.

"You guys and your crazy planets," John shook his head.

"Hey, at least we can go to other planets," Gavin said. "You guys are stuck here."

"Hey, we're happy being stuck here," John said unhappily. "I'm looking forward to a life of flying planes that can't break through the atmosphere. Really."

"Really?" Gavin asked. "You don't wanna see space?"

[identity profile] missed-the-gate.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course I wanna see space," John said, splashing at Gavin. "It's just probably not an option."

"Because...?" Gavin asked.

Re: Snorkeling [2/23]

[identity profile] missed-the-gate.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Because I am from a planet that doesn't have the whole space flight capability thing?" John said.

"Yet," Gavin noted. "You guys'll probably get there. And you're young. By the time you're the right age, they might be ready to go to space."

"Please," John scoffed. "That shuttle we flew in Flight Club? They're practically ready to give up on it in my time. Just sending computers to space now."

[identity profile] sixstandingby.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, maybe you can take some of the stuff you learned here and help them out?" Gavin suggested. "You've got some tech know how."

[identity profile] missed-the-gate.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, who knows," John said, trying to keep that positive vibe going. "I could always hit up a portal and steal your X-Wing."

[identity profile] sixstandingby.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Dude, I'd just give you the schematics," he said and shook his head. "Not like you're gonna use it to raise up and attack our galaxy."

"Though, you do have some really excellent coffee-like substance..."

"I dunno, I think it tastes like mud," he said. "I like this place's coffee better. More organic."

"I like anything hot that can wake my ass up in the morning," John replied. "But Starbucks would totally take over your universe for Caf."

[identity profile] sixstandingby.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm surprised Starbucks hasn't gotten there yet, actually," he said. "They're like on every street corner."

"Just looking for the right intergalactic travel agency," John explained. "Give 'em twenty years."

"You'll be old and gray by then!" Gavin teased.
