The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

"Not bad," K-Mart said, dropping her towel down on the sand before sitting next to him. "Even braved Caritas a couple times. Of course, once was during that whole AU debacle that gave me a headache and the other was for Three Minute Dates. So, y'know, not so much going near the zombies."

He grinned. "You get used to them you know. They play the music and that's all." His gaze swept casually over her. Just because he had a girl, didn't mean he could appreciate other hot chicks.

And K-Mart being very much a typical teenage girl in some ways, was quite happy to be appreciated. "Yeah, but they're still zombies. Which means not so much with the big fan of them. But the Caritas ones definitely aren't as scary as the ones where I'm from."

"Yeah, highly doubtful," he agreed, remembering her story to him.

"So how are you enjoying your spring break so far?" he asked to steer away from the talk of zombies.

"I'm freakin' loving it," K-Mart said with a happy grin. "It's been ages since I've seen this much water in one place. And all the people!"

Okay, yeah, dork much?

Johnny laughed and didn't think her dorky at all because he shared her sentiments. "It's awesome, totally. No place I'd rather be right now."

"Plus it's traveling without, y'know, constantly being on the move." Which made sense to her, really it did. "It's doubly awesome to traveling just for fun and not out of necessity."

She really needed to write Claire and thank the woman for sending her to Fandom.

He cast her a sideways look. "Constantly having to move around, s'got to suck."

"It did," K-Mart said with a nod of agreement. "I don't know what was worse, the having to travel or the fact that if we stopped, we were zombie magnets." She mock shuddered. "Give me this any day of the week."

Johnny completely and totally relaxed. "You sun lotioned it up, right?"

"Oh, but of course," she said with a grin. "If I'm gonna be beaching it, I'm gonna do it right."

"Smart girl," he said, taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

"Eh, I have my moments." She smiled as she looked around. "God, this place is beautiful."

"If I missed the boat? I don't think I'd mind all that much."

A beat.

"'Course I'd just have to fly back."

"Well, yeah. 'cause you've got the hot girlfriend to miss and all." K-Mart grinned. "But extra time here in general? Not at all a bad idea."

He grinned at her. "Yep, that's about right."
