The Crown Princess - Monday [Cabins and Lido Deck]

It was a beautiful day in the Caribbean! The sun was bright in the cloudless sky, casting no shadows on the open section of the Lido deck: Sunbathers beware. Luckily, the Horizon Court offered umbrellas at some tables for the sun shy.

Near the pools were large lettered signs discouraging guests from diving or jumping into the water due to the lack of depth.

Priestly, still leaning well over the edge of the railing, looked back at Worf over his shoulder.

"Dude, you have seriously got to be kidding me."

Worf gave him a look which did not need to be translated.

"You are also hanging over the railing. It is not permitted."

Priestly turned around, pushing himself up by his elbows as he did so until he was actually sitting on the railing, bare feet hooked against the support bar to keep himself from falling.

"You do realize this is spring break, right? As in, vacation?"

"Safety and consideration of your fellow shipmates never take a vacation," he grumbled. "Get down now."

"Right. You only growl and threaten me because you care." Priestly rolled his eyes. And didn't get down. "Dude, you seriously need to relax."

"My state of being is fine," Worf replied sharply. "You are being foolish."

"My health is none of your concern. Now step down from the railing or I will take you down," Worf said moving closer to Priestly.

Priestly tightened his hands on the railing. "Not only do you not have any joy in your life, you won't let anyone else around you have any fun, either."

"You are being an idiot," Worf snapped. "You are endangering yourself for no good reason."

Worf grunted and then reached out to pull him down off the railing. "Get. Down."

Priestly leaned back away from Worf, lifting his hands to ward him off. "Woah, hey, watch the hands, buddy, I did not give you permission to touch me." His stomach and legs tightened as his feet, still hooked into the railing, became the only things keeping him from falling backwards. "Now who's pointlessly endangering who, huh?"

"I am not asking permission," Worf growled and grabbed for his arm to pull him down.

"You're violating my rights as an individual!" Priestly said -- well, gasped, as wow, this position wasn't very nice on his abs. He flailed his free arm at Worf. "Lemme go!"

"No!" Worf growled and tried to pull him down to the deck.

Priestly started to tip forward, despite his effort to continue leaning back. He reached for the railing with his free hand. "Help! I'm being oppressed!"

"Shut up!" Worf snapped and jerked downwards with his full strength.

Priestly fell forward off the railing, feet still tangled in the support bars, leaving him with only one arm to try to keep himself from hitting the deck rather forcefully with.

"OW! What the hell, man?!"

"If you had gotten down when I warned you this wouldn't have happened," Worf grumbled as he crossed his arms. "Clearly this is the result of your own foolishness."

Priestly gaped up at him from where he was sprawled on the deck.

". . . Yeah, I bet that's what all the tyrannical dictators say."

Priestly's arm was fine. Well, maybe a little bit stretched out. Strained, at most.

Worf merely looked at him with what almost counted as a smile.

"Good."

Priestly glared up at him as he pulled himself to a seated position on the ground. "You've just been waiting for the chance to do something like that to me, haven't you. You freaking bully."
