The Crown Princess - Monday [Cabins and Lido Deck]

It was a beautiful day in the Caribbean! The sun was bright in the cloudless sky, casting no shadows on the open section of the Lido deck: Sunbathers beware. Luckily, the Horizon Court offered umbrellas at some tables for the sun shy.

Near the pools were large lettered signs discouraging guests from diving or jumping into the water due to the lack of depth.

"I'm allowed to be when you're going 'round saying things like 'How do you know I'm not only taken until you come to your senses?'" Complete with the intonation he'd used. "That's going to get slow out of anyone, geez."

Never mind that she'd been slow before he'd said that.

She pushed water in his direction. "I wasn't taking you seriously," Ino protested. "It's just, what a thing to say! What if radio reports it weirdly?"

"Then Toby, if he listens, might possibly stop thinking I sleep with rabbits and move up to thinking I'm disloyal to my girlfriend," Romeo answered, clearly not caring about this possibility as he pushed water back. "I'm past worrying about how radio puts things. I'd apologize to Yurika myself, if I had to"

Ino shrugged. "I'm just saying," she said. "I don't much want anyone mad at me 'cause of it. Other than that, I really don't care 'cause if you actually meant something by that you'd be in trouble."

She snickered. "Rabbits?"

"Do you think Ichigo would hit me?" Romeo asked, sounding more amused by the possibility than he would be if he realized the much-larger-than-Romeo Chad was Ichigo's best friend. "Yurika would be fine. She spent last night trying to get Cal to swim." That was practically the same thing, right?

He ducked to submerge himself before continuing. "I talked to Toby once when Yurika was a rabbit, and I think it confused him."

"He probably would," she said, rolling her eyes at the thought of that. Male egos. "But you'd have to deal with me first. And... teaching someone to swim is totally not the same thing, you dork."

As for that, Ino was just going to laugh hard enough that she nearly swallowed water, and had to spend a moment spluttering.

he was the tiniest bit incredulous about that one.

Romeo splashed her lightly. "I am wounded," he said, not sounding especially so.
