The Crown Princess - Monday [Cabins and Lido Deck]

It was a beautiful day in the Caribbean! The sun was bright in the cloudless sky, casting no shadows on the open section of the Lido deck: Sunbathers beware. Luckily, the Horizon Court offered umbrellas at some tables for the sun shy.

Near the pools were large lettered signs discouraging guests from diving or jumping into the water due to the lack of depth.

"Romeo," Arthur greeted, now that said negotiations were over and done with. "I quite think so myself."

"Arthur," Romeo said in return. "Was it your age that was the bother? I had to have that fight on our trip last year."

"It was," Arthur agreed, "But nevermind how ridiculous it is, I am in fact of age, so it shouldn't have been a concern." He just didn't have this 'Eye-dee' they kept going on about.

Romeo shook his head, dismissing it. "Has the trip treated you well otherwise?"

"I could almost be led to believe we're intended to enjoy ourselves," Arthur said, grudgingly allowing for the fact. "Even if the rooms are a bit... small."

The underpraise drew a smile. "I think I could all but live on a boat such as this," Romeo decided. "My room doesn't seem so much smaller than the one at school, and the balcony makes up for it."

"The food makes up for it," Arthur said, and lifted his drink to his lips to take a sip, "As does the drink, if you can actually get your hands on it."

"The weather makes up for it for me," Romeo said. "Fandom's so grey all winter."

"The weather has been fairly agreeable," even if Arthur secretly wished for rain, for familiarity's sake. For an instant, he was amused at the thought of how Leto would comment on this situation, but brushed that aside. "Although I wonder when the first is going to burn their skin off."

"Half the school is fair-skinned and blond, so I'm sure someone will manage it by the end of the day," Romeo commented. He was starting to half-wonder if anything ever entirely suited Arthur.

"Did anyone mention sunblock to you, by the way?"

"I was told of something called sunscreen, which sounds like it's used often for obvious reasons," Arthur said, "I've yet to purchase any myself. I don't doubt Merlin'll be suffering ill effects regardless, though."

"He is a pale one," Romeo had to agree as he reached into his bag to produce a tube of lotion. It was only SPF 8, but Romeo was impressed with himself he'd remembered it at all. "You're welcome to mine, in any case. I won't use the tube up."

"You're very kind," Arthur said, "But I'm good on coin for my own- I'm not going to impose on yours."

"It would be a few cents at the most, hardly any imposition," Romeo shrugged. "But I won't force it on you."

"You could tell me where to get my hands on some," Arthur offered him, "This place is like a labyrinth."

"That I wouldn't know," Romeo said. "I know it should be in any shop, but I didn't take much time yesterday to look for such."

He nodded. "I'll just have to make that my first mission, then," Arthur said, flippantly, and gave Romeo an amused look. "Second," he reconsidered, after a good peek at his glass.

Romeo looked at Arthur's glass, then back at his own. "I could probably share that first mission," he said. "For my second, I might find something more to eat."

"Then by all means, stay and drink," Arthur said, sparing a look at some of the waitstaff. "I'm sure you'll be able to get something for food around here."

"They ought to be able to manage a sandwich, at least," Romeo said. "Good luck exploring, then. Don't get lost." The last was said in a teasing tone.

"It takes more than a boat to get me lost," Arthur assured him, lightly amused.

"It might be a very tricky sort of boat," Romeo said, mock-gravely.

"I think I'm trickier than a boat."
