Rise and shine, Fandom! It's the first real day of vacation, and there's plenty of time for adventures! There is also plenty of time for lazing around on the beach all day. We're not judging!

HOTEL

Our days will revolve around the multi-story Beach House--where the students are staying--and the adjacent powder-white sands, crystal lagoon and vibrant reef, which are all exemplary even by the Maldives’ standards. Laze in the shady open-air lounge. Dive into the pristine waters. Work out in the gym. Cool down in the library. Go for a beach wander across the five-acre island.

ROOMS

Students are sharing two-bedroom mezzanine suites as we add floors to the beach house, with ocean views and an outdoor shower. (And an indoor shower, if outdoor showers aren't your thing.) Each bedroom comes with two twins beds (or one king, depending on which is funner). Teachers are located in the multi-story three-bedroom Beach Villa or the two bedroom Water Villa.

DINING

There's a morning breakfast buffet set up around the pool and a fleet of chefs eager to assist you in whatever food you're interested in having for lunch. You can even order up to your suites, or get the chefs to teach a cooking class!

SPA

Do you want to get all the spa treatments at the Oceans of Consciousness Spa? Have you had enough fruity cocktails to be okay referring to it as the Oceans of Consciousness Spa yet?

AROUND THE BEACH HOUSE

Hit the gym, go to the library, get snacks in the kitchen, lounge in the lounge. Swim in the pool! Tell us where you are so we can join you.

Flint was lounging in the lounge because he'd also slept in the lounge. He'd found a book in the library and was happily ensconced on a lounge chair, reading. He'd look up every now and then and smile out at the ocean, then return to his book.

EXPLORING THE ISLAND

BEACH

Of course you want to go to the beach. It's all around you! Resident dolphins, turtles and rays visit Voavah’s lagoon daily, while green and hawksbill turtles nest nearby. There's a yoga class at sunrise (and then again at noon because vacation), but you can just grab a towel (and sunscreen) and enjoy the water all day. Someone will even bring you food!

Rey had been taking swimming classes, which meant there was actually a reason for her to wear a bathing suit! She had shorts on at the moment, but still.

She'd get out in the water at some point, but first she sat in the sand, taking video of it on her phone mostly as proof of everything she was doing now, and wondering how long she could sit here before she got bored. Seriously, she didn't know how anyone did nothing on purpose.

It wasn't that she'd ever been scared of the water, just... if you're not confident you can get back out, don't get in.

Henry was not over the 'wide open ocean' of it all yet. He was also still too terrified to try and swim.

So on his first morning, he was back here, ambling up and down the beach. Watching people do things on the water.

When she spotted him, Rey gave a wave from where she was sitting in the sand. "Hi, Henry."

"Rey!" Henry probably didn't need to exclamation mark that, but exclamation marked it was. He shuffled through the sand towards her. "God be with y--" He really needed to get that out of his system. "...How's the beach treating you?"

Jaina had two kids in the water looking for turtles, so Jaina was in the water looking after them.

Plus, turtles were kind of cool. (She'd kind of accidentally been on a date with a teenage mutant one once.)

Kitty was absolutely doing this. She'd never surfed, never waterskied, who cared, she was on vacation.

She cared a little more when she realized how much salt water you took to the face doing stuff like this.

Not interested in strapping yourself to a kite? Go snorkeling in the coral reef! They have waterproof cameras for you to take photos of all the fish and turtles you'll see.

Even if anyone hadn't even mentioned snorkeling, Eleanor was practically already going to be there. She knew she mostly wouldn't even need the snorkeling, but would obliged to keep appearances.

The real trouble was going to be getting her out of the water during this trip, really, but that was true for anything that brought her closer to thr deep blue sea...

Look, sipping drinks on the beach or the deck of your villa was one thing, absconding with the big boat so you could sip drinks on the deck of that was another, much more piratical thing, entirely.
