Yes, it was a Monday, but it was the first wake-up of the trip. A whole day of sun, breeze, beach, and fun awaited Fandom's guests today. Time to get up and get out there!

"Both," she admitted. "It's a very large part of why I can't hate him."

"He went back with a purpose?" Flint asked, wrinkling his forehead.

He only knew first-season Silver. He'd understand later.

"His you had something to do with it." Welcome to the main reason this was all weird for her. "But yes. It surprised him too."

"Huh," Flint said. "I wonder what caused him to do that."

"Guilt, I think," she said, moving so she could rest her hands in the sand behind her and lean back a bit. "And apparently being inspired by what I was doing at home."

"And what were you doing at home?" Flint asked.

"There was a war going on, galactic-scale stuff. I wasn't on the front lines, exactly, but I was part of the Resistance fighting it," Rey explained.

"Public Jedi," she said. "I left any pirating to other people."

"I'm not in touch with most of them all the time anyway," she said, ignoring that. "War's over."

She just couldn't tell him how it'd turn out. And didn't know enough about the situation to say anything helpful.

Honestly she'd maybe spent too much time not questioning things.

"We're not in the middle of that war in 2025," she said. "So I assume."
