Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, Québec City, Québec [Wednesday Evening]

Rumor had it there was a big room party happening on Wednesday night, but there were also still options for those looking for something a little more private to do, or just less party-minded.

The weather was mostly behaving as well, although perhaps with a light, refreshing sprinkling of rain here and there.

Halfway through the trip, people, try not to miss out on any Québécois fun!

An entire restaurant devoted to vegan sushi simply had to be tried. So Steven and Llewellyn got dressed for dinner and headed there for date night.

Steven of course wore his hat, but he did remember to take it off once they were seated. He was almost as proud of that as he was the hat itself.

He got his glasses out to study the menu. "So many options! Aren't they clever?"

"The crispy rice looks particularly interesting," Watts mused.

Honestly, all of it looked good. It's possible he might end up stuffed to the gills with sushi tonight.

"I thought so as well," Steven said. "Do you think we should get the Omakase Deluxe? That way we can sample a few things?"

"Plus another soup and a couple of the things that aren't included in that?" Watts mused. "Since it does say it's meant for one person."

"I like that," Steven said. He looked sheepish. "Better than my idea where we order two of those."

"I figure we ought to sample as much of the menu as physically possible," Watts said. "And- there is nothing holding us back from ordering a second round, I suppose."

"I think that's smart," Steven said. He looked at Llewellyn besottedly. Which was a common expression this week. And in general.

Watts gave him a shy grin in return. "I do try my best to be clever."

Steven looked at the menu options again. "More crispy rice then, do you think?"

"Oh yes," Watts agreed. "Should we get some of each? Or is that too much of one sort of thing?"

"I don't think so," Steven said. "It's not as though we'll be here often. I think better to try as much as possible."

"All right," Watts said. "The rolls with fruit as well. Mango and apple. Those sound unique."

"Where were those?" Steven asked, squinting at the menu even though he had his glasses on. "They sound good regardless, I'm for it."

"It's unfortunate they don't seem to have any Japanese wines," Watts said, making a slightly disappointed face as he perused the available drinks.

"I'm sure you'll find something wonderful all the same," Steven said. He had every confidence in his beau where such things were concerned.

"The cocktails do look intriguing," Watts said, though they weren't the usual sort of thing he went for. "What do you feel like?"

"Could be fine with a pint if I'm honest," Steven said. He looked at the menu again. "Though there's one here that has fruits in it? Picture of an orange and all."

"That's the one I was eyeing," Watts said, perhaps predictably.

"You should get it then," Steven said. "You could always order something else if you don't care for it."

"Good point," Watts said with a smile. "We're on holiday, I can indulge."

"Perhaps I'll steal a sip?" Steven said. "See what it's like?"

"No need to steal," Watts countered. "It's freely given."

"Suppose if I ask it's hardly stealing," Steven said. He grinned. "Unlike your heart."

"That you stole out from under me," Watts agreed with a besotted smile.

"Only fair," Steven pointed out. "You stole mine."
