The trip from Portalocity Fandom was surprisingly smooth--no layovers in worlds without shrimp, nothing where everyone was trapped in Endless Toledo...Anakin was suspicious already. But never mind that!

Welcome to Springtime Winds Island, private island and beautiful tropical paradise! While the Springtime Winds Hotel is at the heart, the entire island is owned by the resort. A shuttle leaves every twenty minutes, bringing guests to the island's model beach town, full of charming little bistros, trendy boutiques, and delicious restaurants. The last shuttle returns to the hotel at 10 PM to give the employees in town time to clean up and catch the ferry back to their own island homes away from tourists.

There's plenty to keep you entertained and occupied for the entire week you're here, so settle in and get a head start on all that relaxing and fun you're going to have!

Room 308

Nell had been wide-eyed since they'd arrived and they didn't get any smaller when she saw the room. The giant tub got a smile, but she especially loved the amazing view. "I think I could watch this for hours," she murmured.

"Got some good news for you, then," said Gladio, coming into the room just a bit later, because of course he had to make a very important detour before heading to the room, but conveniently coming in just in time to catch that murmur. "All the gym equipment faces these wall-to-wall windows so you can enjoy the view while you work out."

Clearly, he approved.

He flung his bag to the side and went to go join Nell where she was,standing behind her and putting his arms around her and leaning in to set his chin on her head and check out the view a little more from her perspective.

"Hopefully, though, watching it's not all you plan on doing, though..."

But he might get it if it was...

Nell smiled and wrapped her arms around his. "I'm sure I can spare a little time to get some exercise in while I'm staring at the view," she said easily. "If there's a treadmill I can even imagine I'm running towards it."

But there were lots of other things she planned on doing for exercise and not all of them involved the gym.

"It's nice here, isn't it? Even has its own onsen. It's like it knew we were coming."

"Well, yeah," Gladio couldn't help pointing out with a chuckle, "that is how hotel reservations work, even in space."

He took a moment to just appreciate the view again and the fact that he was appreciating it with Nell, before asking, "Think we should go check it out first?"

Nell laughed. "Like they knew we'd enjoy an onsen on our trip," she clarified. "And yes, let's go check it out! I want to look at it all. And then we can have a very nice dinner before coming back here fo a wonderful night."

Or, you know, wonderful till something crashed into the planet at least.

"Sounds perfect," said Gladio, complimenting the plan further with a kiss before pulling away to go pick up that bag he'd casually flung aside. "What'dya think they got around here for food? Think there's any cool space noodles?"

"Probably," Nell said, "But they probably call them something fancy. We'll have to see what we can find. Probably won't taste quite as good as your Cup Noodles though."

She'd brought a couple of those along in her bag, just to make him smile.
