Nemesis Island: Sunday Pre-Finale

The island was all a twitter about the upcoming finale.

Well "twitter" was probably the wrong word for it. Grumbling and grunting may be more appropriate depending on your point of view.

The island still had that sense of foreboding for anyone who crossed over to it... not it seems to stop anyone.

[OOC: Final post for Nemesis. Anything here will happen pre-finale which takes place roughly at the same time as the tournament. Please be careful not to joss yourselves.]

"Oh dear, that's not good at all," Umbridge said, seeming unconcerned about that. "We'll have to do something about that. He's very resilient. And this will just make him all the more angrier. Always good to have."

Anakin rolled his eyes. "Yes, you should really encourage a Sith Lord to embrace his anger. Ooh. Maybe he'll blow up your entire island!"

That thought cheered him up considerably. "You're not getting ours."

"I think you are wrong," Umbridge said smoothly. "Like always. And when we do get your island, you'll be one of the first to go."

"Sure I will," Anakin scoffed, stepping closer. "I can't remember a time when you were right about anything."

She giggled again. "Such a big boy, aren't we? Talking back to your elders. Naughty, naughty."

"Were you here last night, tossing parts of the park at a brunette?"

"I was not," she said, shaking her head. "But, my, that sounds delightful. I almost wish I had been. I shall have to compliment the one that was."

Anakin's eyes narrowed. "I have some compliments of my own I'd like to pass on."

"Do you?" Umbridge appraised him coolly. "Go on, if you'd like."

Anakin reached out to slap her across the cheek.

That was unexpected.

And unfortunate.

After Umbridge had recovered, she started laughing even as she slipped her wand out of her shawl.

Sectumsempra!" (http://www.hplex.info/magic/spells/spells_s.html#sectumsempra) she shouted, sending a beam of light towards Anakin's stomach.

And he'd spent all day fixing that, dammit.

Anakin's jaw clenched in pain as Umbridge's spell cut a new swath across his stomach.

"I said it was for someone else," he gritted out.

"I don't care," Umbridge said tightly. "Do you want another?"

"Oh, definitely," Anakin said sarcastically.

Sarcasm was probably wasted on her.

"Very well! Sectumsempra!" And, with that, the wand lit up again, a spark of light shooting towards Anakin's right leg.

"Son of a bitch!" Anakin swore, hopping in a very dignified little circle.

He reached into the Force to toss Umbridge away.

Umbridge went flying backwards, hand holding tightly to her wand. She hit the ground hard, temporarily losing her focus before shouting another incantation (http://www.hplex.info/magic/spells/spells_b.html#binding_fastening_magic) that would, hopefully, bind Anakin's hands together.

Anakin's hands were wrapped with chains in front of him. "Cute," he said, "but I don't need my hands."

With another giggle, Umbridge muttered another incantation (http://www.hplex.info/magic/spells/spells_p.html#petrificus_totalus). "Of course not. But this is quite fun for me."

Anakin flopped onto the ground.

He couldn't speak, but his eyes promised pain.
