Nihi Sumba has more than 27 uniquely designed villas, and we will be staying in five of them. Each villa offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and Nihiwatu Beach, their own plunge pools, personal staff, living areas and kitchens. You don't have to leave your villas all week! We'd like you to, though.

Irene was not, actually, quite ready to leave. She was packed, of course, save for the very large hat she was sporting, and the caftan that she incorrectly thought she could wear back to Fandom. This sudden change in poolside apparel had everything to do with the pinkness of Irene's cheeks and nose, and the way -- horrors -- freckles had actually appeared on her shoulders earlier this week.

She almost didn't care, either. (Almost.) At least, if she cared more, she probably wouldn't have taken breakfast poolside, even with the protection of a giant hat.

Amaya, meanwhile, looked the very picture of wanting to get back to Business as Usual, clad in her usual garb, right down to the boots, as she returned from the restaurant with as many meat skewers as her gloved hands could carry.

(It should be noted, however, that the gloves were a bit different than the ones worn around the shop, only delicately used and fairly new, by about, oh, a couple months or so, give or take).

"Irene." With a nod. And a bite of satay.

Oh, those were some nice gloves, weren't they? And it was a testament to Irene's willpower that she wasn't going to say anything about them. Not even in the face of Amaya wearing them while eating skewered meat.

(It helped that Irene found all things Meat-On-Stick to be really cute. Which she would also never say.)

"Amaya," she returned, tilting the brim of her gigantic hat back to appraise her. "Are you done with holiday already? Look at you, already ready for work."

Potential grease-and-sauce drippage was just a risk one took, when outfitting Amaya with gloves.

She did seem to be attending to her bites with much more dainty care than she might have otherwise, however, as she took up residence in a chair next to Irene's.

"Two weeks," she reminded her. "It's been nearly two weeks since I've gotten any decent work done, Irene. Everyone's just lucky I've got these," she lifted her skewers for clarity, "to keep me busy, so's I'm not just trying to corral everyone over to the portal pick-up spot for our hasty exit."

That, and she did realize how poorly that would likely go for her.

Kurt was relaxing a little that morning in the lounge area, having already packed his bags, though with the souvenirs he had added, it took a little more work than it had for the trip here. Once it was done though, Kurt took a little time to just sit and reflect on everything he had gotten to see and do on this amazing trip.

Having also had her own stuff pretty much packed and ready to go, Libby smiled a little to see Kurt in the lounge area and went to go join him, holding out a bracelet woven together with green and yellow.

"I got this for you," she offered. "The other day, when the village women came to show off their weaving."

She wasn't sure whether to wait until they got back to give it to him or not, but something about that moment seemed like a good time for.

"I got one for Zo, and Vi, and each of my siblings, too," she added, somewhat proudly. "Well, except for Hope, she's still a bit too young, she'd mostly just try to eat it, I'm sure."

Kurt smiled when he saw Libby and perked up even more as she held the gift out.

"Oh, thank you, Libby. This is beautiful," he said as he examined it a moment before slipping it on. "Blue, green, and yellow- reminds me of the ocean here," he said, holding it out so she could see it.

"Oh, I didn't even think of something like that!" Libby admitted, although she was clearly delighted that Kurt had, especially when he held out his wrist to show it off. "That's perfect."

Then she took just a moment to enjoy his thoughtfulness and just everything in general before asking, "Did you have a good time, Kurt?"

Kurt admired the bracelet for a little longer and then turned to look at Libby, a grin spreading over his face.

"It was an unbelievable trip! I... I still can't really believe everything I got to see and do. I thought the last few trips were amazing, but this might be the best one so far. And you? You had a good time too I hope?"

"I had a great time," Libby assured him. "It's just so beautiful here, and there was so much to do, but it was still nice and relaxing, too..."

And she'd had so much less on her mind this time than during the last school trip. She'd loved France and everything it had meant to her, but this time, she'd just felt so free and...buoyant.

Exactly how you wanted to feel, in a tropical paradise, and, with that in mind, she leaned in to rest her shoulder against Kurt's in a way that had become wonderfully familiar this week, and just...enjoyed it, with maybe the softest of sighs.

Kurt smiled and leaned ever so slightly to Libby's shoulder. This had been an amazing week and a trip he would not soon forget, but the time with Libby and everything they had done was something he would always treasure.

"The place is amazing, but the company has been pretty darn good too" he said fondly.

"...eh," said Libby, grinning as she held up her hand to wave it a little to indicate a fair to middling appraisal of said company, but she had to laugh before she could manage a not even remotely convincing, and giving that shoulder against hers a playful nudge, "it's been okay, I guess."

"If I can get fair to middling from you, I count that as high praise," Kurt said with a smirk as he reached over to hold Libby's hand and just took a moment to enjoy where they were, as they were, when they were. Things had been so busy and hectic on the island lately. It had been really good to get away from all that and just slow down and focus on things. It was really, really nice.

"Well," Libby allowed, her sunburnt cheeks glowing just that slight bit more red as Kurt took her hand, and she adjusted, a bit, for that puzzle that was the best way to entwin their fingers together, "you're definitely at least a little above middling. Just a smidge."

"Guess we make a pretty good team huh?" Kurt said, giving Libby's shoulder a gentle nudge this time. The grin on his face said pretty clearly what he felt of that assessment.

"A great team, actually," Libby said, confidently, even with the flutter in her chest and the duck of her head, but that was mostly just a (failed) attempt to keep her grin down a little. She just took a moment, then, to enjoy that, before asking, "So, what do you think the most about this trip?"

Kurt saw the flush and the attemted head duck conceal but was too nice to tease Libby about it.

"I liked everything really. But I'd have to say my favorite thing on the island itself was the hiking tours. And don't he trip as a whole..."

Kurt hesitated a moment then gave a shy grin to Libby. "That would probably be our swim in the pool the other night."

Libby lifted her head and looked over at Kurt, catching that grin, which did absolutely nothing to help with all that fluttering and blushing. "That was probably one of my favorites, too," she admitted, her voice quiet, as if it was some big secret or indiscretion. "I'm much more confident in my swimming now, too..."

She bit her lower lip a little with hesitation for a moment, with that feeling that she knew she should probably feel a little bad about things like that and everything that came with it, but she just couldn't. As if to make up for it, though, she then added, "I also really liked the waterfall hike in particular."

There's time for one last meal at Ombak or to sneak in a last dip in the big pool or the ocean and grab a bite down at the Beach Club!

The hub of dining activity is the main, sandy-floored Ombak (meaning wave front) restaurant and bar lounge. Ombak, an exquisitely crafted open-air restaurant, offers a la carte breakfast each morning.

The large outside deck, cantilevered over the ocean, offers relaxed lounge seating.

Stark had woken early, as he tended to do. He'd considered staying at the villa for the morning but had opted instead for at least a brief trip to the Ombak.

He had a mug of tea and some breakfast and was sitting on the deck and just watching the ocean for the moment.

Ignis could hardly pass up one more morning to enjoy a cup of excellent coffee and a breakfast of some of his favorite choices throughout the week, enjoying the warmth of the sun in his face and the scent of the ocean wafting in the air.

"Ignis," Stark said, taking care to make a bit more noise than usual as he approached his table.

"Have you enjoyed the week here?"

And Ignis did appreciate the effort, though he liked to think it was entirely unnecessary.

"Stark," he greeted back, attention shifting toward him, with a nod. "I have, thank you. Could do with a touch less humidity, but it's a small thing. And yourself? How have you enjoyed this season's extravagant excursion?"

Stark didn't like when people snuck up on him where he couldn't see them. He just assumed Ignis would feel similarly.

"It's been... I'm not sure I have the right words," he admitted. "I'm not usually so reluctant to leave. This is a wonderful place. I've been... happy. Very content here. Relaxed, even."

If thousands of daemons couldn't manage to sneak up on Ignis over the course of the last ten years, then Stark should hardly have to worry about that.

He smiled a bit at the answer. "Then mission accomplished, I should say. Isn't that the goal, of a holiday such as this one?"

"I think it is. I'm just not always good at relaxing," Stark said with a soft, self-deprecating laugh.

"This week was good practice."

"Oh," said Ignis, with what sounded almost suspiciously like a laugh, "I've always been quite terrible at it myself. The fact that even I could find myself easily relaxing here is a true testament to its effectiveness."

And there were few compliments Ignis could give something quite as great as an appreciation to its efficiency, really.

Amicia felt as if she had barely grasped that they were here, and now they were leaving again.

She had felt the call of the beach many times, if likely for other reasons than the others. But she was here now, nibbling on some food that barely tasted like anything she understood.

Still... staring at the waves, mind you.

2.5 kilometers of white sand beach that looks like it's never been stepped on until you came along. Get a fruity drink and a tan!

One nice thing about not wearing clothing was that Sidon had nothing to pack for the trip home! Which meant just squeezing in a lot more ocean time while he was here. Sure, he'd spent most of his time in the ocean that week, but could anyone really blame him? And he might just grab one last bite to eat while he was out there before they headed back as well!
