Sumba, Indonesia, Friday Night

Well, gang, it's the last night on Sumba. Are you relaxed from your massage? Are you sunburned from jet skiing? Are you looking for hiding places where Anakin won't discover you tomorrow when the portal is ready?

These are all valid choices! The sunset is showing off tonight, the bugs have been modded out of existence and the drinks are were suitably strong. Enjoy your last night in paradise! It's going to be cold and slushy in Maryland on Saturday afternoon.

Graham gave a happy sigh as he settled in to watch the bonfires and listen to the music and nibble on more delicious food, thinking about how great the trip had been. It was a little sad, thinking this was the last night, but that just meant it was all the more important to enjoy everything tonight!

"Have you enjoyed the last few days, Graham?" Belle asked, smiling at him.

"I'm not sure I'm ready to go back yet."

"I've enjoyed every day," Graham answered, with a broad grin and another happy sigh. He then looked thoughtful, looking around at the beach and the island and everyone else gathered around to enjoy it. "And it is a little sad, thinking it's almost over, but it being so short makes it all that much more special, you know? And gives us a good reason to maybe come back again some day, too!" His wandering gaze settled back on Belle with another smile. "You know?""

"It has been very special," Belle agreed. "We're terribly lucky to get to visit somewhere like this. I've never seen anything like it before."

Since she hadn't started having adventures at home before coming to Fandom.

"It would be lovely to be given another chance to visit someday, wouldn't it?"

"If we really wanted to," Graham pointed out cheerfully, "we could always come back, I bet, thanks to the portals! Probably not for a whole week like this, but if you wanted to just hop on over for a day or something..."

Someone was getting just a wee bit portal- and magic-travel spoiled!

"If you were to come back again for just a day," he grinned over at Belle with a challenge in his smirk, "what would you want to come back for the most?"

"The portals are a marvel, aren't they?"

Belle looked at Graham thoughtfully, then over at one of the fires. "I did have a very fine roommate on this trip though I suppose I wouldn't need to come back here just to see him. The chocolate tour last night was wonderful, as was riding the horses in the water. I've never done anything like either of those!"

"Those are pretty great choices," Graham said, while his face practically split with a pleased, beaming smile over the fact that not only did Belle's roommate situation make the list, but that it got mentioned first. "I missed the chocolate tour, so I guess that would be my top choice, coming back, because then it would still be pretty new to me! And riding horses in the water was amazing! I always thought riding horses in the water would be...like giant seahorses!"

One day, Graham. One day.

"But no, they were just regular ones! I was so worried I might loose my seat and be swept away right into the ocean, but it was fine! And that made it that much more exciting!"

And now, the best for last:

"Funny you should say that about your roommate, though," he added, tilting another grin Belle's way, "because I sure got a pretty fine one myself!"

"I'm glad you weren't swept away! I would miss you. And you know... I never would have considered the idea of giant seahorses but now I'd like to see one!"

"Do you have those in your realm?" she asked curiously. "I don't think we do though I've hardly done much exploring."

Graham looked terribly pleased, that he might be missed if he'd been swept out to sea.

"I've never seen them before myself," he admitted, "but I hear that giant seahorses are how people get to the Undersea Kingdom out by Tanalore and the Kolymas! I've never been there, either, but from all the pictures and tales I've seen, I imagine it's a lot like this place, actually. I'd really like to go sometime....especially if it is like this place."

"That sounds wonderful! I would like to see something like that. I don't know if we have any undersea kingdoms neighboring ours, though I wouldn't be surprised."

There were mermaids in her future if she went back to her own world though.
