Friday: Nemesis Island

The island across the causeway hadn't gotten any more inviting overnight. Occasionally, you could almost distinguish a blood-curdling howl mixed in with the noises of the birds that seemed to be everywhere.

Nemesis laid proudly in the dark. It was open to all who dared to go there.

But it would not let them go easily.

[ This is a list of NPC Businesses and locations in case you wish to have your characters interact with Nemesis characters off of Fandom Island. Mod the shops much as you would a J'GOB or The Perk. Preplayed scenes may be linked in the threads below.

Please wait for OCD up! ]

There was a bored Darkonda in the park. He had found that there was only so much plotting to take over the universe that he could do before he grew tired of it. Besides it was much more fun actually putting those plans into action but since he would have to take Dark Spectre out first before he could administer those plans to begin with there wasn't much point in plotting.

[can be open if you want it to be]

This morning's broadcast had Ned curious about the pie shop on the other island so, after psyching himself up, he'd made the trip over there and cautiously peered at the building.

Going inside was going to take more psyching up.

"Feeling like a pie, dear boy?" Umbridge asked, appearing beside him, covered in pink. "They're quite good, I assure you."

"I wasn't actually sure if I wanted one or not," Ned said, glancing over at the woman. "Um, I'm glad they're good."

He took a step over, putting some distance between them.

"I could treat you," Umbridge offered airily, closing the distance Ned had just made easily. "Come now, let's have a pie."

Ned moved away again, trying to keep some personal space between him and the woman.

"No, maybe not," he said, thinking this a bad idea. "I'm just here to visit and now my visit's over and I should go!"

Umbridge reached out swiftly and grasped Ned's wrist between strong fingers. "Dear boy, we are going to go have a pie, you and me."

Ned's first instinct was to run as soon as she got a hold of him but wrenching away wasn't working. She was stronger than she looked.

"No, I don't want a pie," he said, pleading. "Please. Let me go. Let me go."

"Nonsense," Umbridge said, her voice taking on a lower, more sinister tone. "I know what you want and it's a pie."

She started dragging him towards the shop.

"No, no," Ned said, trying to stop the forward momentum. He writhed and squirmed until he was able to slip out of her grasp and scrabble backwards. "I don't want a pie."

Umbridge stalked towards him, eyes blazing. "Young man, when I give you an order you are to obey it!" she seethed. "And now, look what you've done, you've ruined a perfectly good morning for me."

She raised her arm, wand pointing.

"If you don't want a pie, perhaps you'll want this." With that, she muttered a quick incantation and a burst of light struck Ned on the left side of his stomach.

Whatever that was, it started to sting and throb. Not enough to make Ned stay though. No, he turned and fled.

Quickly.

From the radio broadcast last night, Murdock had figured that there was something odd going on.

So of course, he went across to the other island to check it out. Houston needed a walk, anyway.

Lion-o couldn't resist wandering around the other island. He liked exploring places where he shouldn't me. As usual, Snarf tagged along with him, stopping every few minutes to suggest that they go back.

Spotting Darkonda, Lion-o smiled and politely said, "Hello. Do you live on this island?"
