You can have meals served at your villas, too, but if you'd like to mingle with more than just your cohort, Nihi offers three world-class restaurants, a large pool, and some of the most spectacular beach-front property in the world.

The hub of dining activity is the main, sandy-floored Ombak (meaning wave front) restaurant and bar lounge. Ombak, an exquisitely crafted open-air restaurant, offers a la carte breakfast each morning.

The large outside deck, cantilevered over the ocean, offers relaxed lounge seating.

Kurt was sticking around the villas and the beach most of the day. He decided to take a break from the water for a little food. So there he was, enjoying some of the super fresh food available. Between the wind, the sound of the waves, the salty air, and the amazing food, it might be hard pressed to get him out of the chair for a while now that he was here and feeling so relaxed.

Just bare footsteps from the sea, the Nio Beach Club offers open-aired pavilions serving the highest quality of fresh ingredients: whether it is a fish just caught from sea, delicious vegetables and legumes from our three abundant organic gardens, items from the grill, daily rotisserie, or freshly made pizzas from our wood fired clay oven, the chef and his team will satiate your appetite with delicious, healthy dishes. And the pool looks like this. It's worth leaving your villa.

Clare's sunburn had only slightly faded from yesterday, so you'd find her under the biggest umbrella she could find, holding her rosary and praying that her mother didn't discover she'd been on a tropical island with no Ash Wednesday Mass for the start of Lent.

At least there'd be plenty of fish to eat? Would that make up for it? Probably not. Time for another decade of the rosary.

2.5 kilometers of white sand beach that looks like it's never been stepped on until you came along. Get a fruity drink and a tan!

And while you could spend your whole day lying around, it would be a waste because there are about a hundred cool things to do on this island.

Guests depart the resort and trek through the surrounding palm tree forest. A guide will talk you through the changing landscape, local wildlife, and traditional communities and residences before stopping in one Sumbanese village. After the village, you descend down into Nihioka valley, over freshwater streams and out into the cascading rice paddy fields, leading to panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Nipi Lima, a hand outstretched over the horizon, welcomes guests who wish to send good intentions out into the world.

You will be greeted with cold towels and fresh coconut water before sitting down to a bush-cooked breakfast served in a shaded tree house platform against ancient rocks and perched above the coast’s crashing waves. After breakfast, stroll along one of the two magnificent and private beaches and relax at your leisure. When you are ready to return to the resort, one of our open-air safari vehicles will be standing by.

Stark had been tempted to linger at the villa today just in case help was needed. He'd convinced himself otherwise and opted for this excursion into the forest instead.

This island was beautiful. He wanted to see more of it. And he was hopeful he'd run into some of his fellow adults so he could encourage them to come to the villa tonight for Summer.

Sakaki felt like she had been slacking a little on her photography for the trip, so she was definitely going to take advantage of that with this activity, maybe even getting a few shots of the breakfast itself, since food photos seemed to be a thing people did now.

She was mostly trying to get wildlife shots, though, of course.

Finally, a good reason to go on one of these hikes and feel like he wasn't going to just be expending energy with very little benefit to himself! Ignis was absolutely here for a brunch in the jungle, eager to work up an appetitive and have it immediately satiated with some local cuisine.

Even if the trip was likely to be a bit...challenging for him, he was certainly up to taking on that difficulty.

A traipse through the woods for brunch and another village to sort of poke around in for inspiration was a good enough excuse for Amaya to slip back into her boots and get headed out again, with that new potential weapons set inspired by the locale and especially the birds at the forefront of her mind all the while.

Well. Swimming *on* horses. When the swell is low and high tide is waning, this is the perfect time to go swimming the horses on Nihiwatu beach. Down at the stables our horsemen will match you up with a horse fitted with a bareback pad for grip and comfort, and lead you down to the water in front of the Boathouse.

The horses love to cool off in the water; it is a wonderful feeling to be on their backs as they wade, splash, and play weightlessly in the ocean. When the swell causes their hooves to leave the ground and they start to swim a little you feel yourself float momentarily above their backs, it’s quite exhilarating!

Belle couldn't resist this. It sounded exciting and fun and it was another chance to be on horseback.

When Graham had asked Guillermo out on a horseriding date, this was definitely not what he had in mind, but, at the same time, when the option came up for swimming with horses that morning, it seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Even if the 'swimming' aspect had Graham feeling particularly nervous, since it wasn't like Charlie had had a chance to actually teach him how to swim since yesterday! But it turned out that it wasn't really swimming swimming, just sort of horseback riding in the water, so as long as he kept a good hold on his horse's reins, he should be okay, right?

Right!

"Zounds," he said, chuckling over at Guillermo, and hoping he didn't sound as nervous as he felt. "This sure is going to be a new experience for both of us now! My horse didn't tell me, the other night, anything about riding in the water!"

Guillermo had definitely not prepared the idea of swimming with horses either but he was trying to stay positive and focus on how he was about to go horseback riding with Graham.

On a date!

“I didn’t even think you could go swimming with horses,” Guillermo admitted, “will you be okay, we don’t have to do this if you would rather we didn’t?”

"I mean, I've heard of seahorses back home," Graham said, "that you can ride in the ocean, but I didn't think it would be like this!"

And it wasn't. They were literally giant seahorses, but it would be a while before Graham had to encounter any of those.

"But it's fine," he assured Guillermo, giving him a small, brave sort of smile. "It kind of sounds like fun, actually! It would almost be a shame not to take the opportunity to swim with horses if we had the chance, right?"

“Right,” Guillermo nodded with a smile, “I don’t t think this is something I’ll really have the opportunity to do again?” he admitted.

“Besides we can take it nice and slow right?” he considered with a tilt of his head.

"Slow and steady wins the race, right?" Graham postulated, with a grin over at Guillermo, although, really, he was trying to convince himself as much as anything, worried that the horse was going to start picking up on his nerves, and then where would they all be? "Not that this is a race, of course. In fact, I think the opposite of a race would be better, to just sort of take our time, enjoy the experience....and the company."

Guillermo smiled shyly at that, going a little red, “that does sound nice and we definitely don’t have to rush this,” he nodded, “I’m …I’m glad that we can spend more time with each other,” he added, going even redder.

"Me, too," said Graham, taking a moment to give his horse a fond pat...a somewhat calming one, too, he felt, for both himself and the animal. "Especially while we're here. It'd seem like such a waste, you know, if we didn't get the chance, and now we can have this amazing experience together!"

At leas the hoped it would be.

He mostly just hoped he didn't end up getting swept out to sea and drowning tragically. That would not be a very good date at all!

Guillermo also hoped that Graham didn’t get swept out to see, that would definitely not be a good way to end the day.

“We can have this experience together,” he agreed happily, definitely liking the sound of that, “ I never thought I would be swimming with horses on this trip,” he paused, “or anything to do with horses really but I suppose there’s no harm in trying something new right?”

Float past riverbank village life on a paddle board or in a canoe, with the occasional water buffalo sighting! This scenic adventure through Sumbanese river culture provides a glimpse into everyday living. It starts with a 30-minute scenic drive that descends through the Wanukaka Valley, and upon reaching the river, guests will receive paddle gear, instructions, and be escorted toward the ocean by guides.

The adventure concludes with a picnic snack and panoramic view of rice fields and the beach.

The slow migration of Shunsui out into actual excursions continued! He had now moved from the beach out into an actual event, although it was very clear, when the paddle gear was being distributed, that he should have paid much more attention to the description of the voyage. This was not exactly the nice leisurely float down a river he had originally had in mind...

There was a zero percent chance you'd catch Anakin on a horse, so river boat excursion it was!

He was enjoying the "show up somewhere and get entertained for the day" aspect of the all-day trips.

Libby was all about making the most out of these all-day excursions. Maybe a little too much, if the sunburn that was definitely starting to set in was any indication, but she clearly wasn't letting that hold her back, not when there were so many more things to see and do and enjoy!

A platform can be arranged at the boathouse where guests can practice their swing, all while feeding the fish along the reef! The eco-friendly balls are biodegradable and slowly release fish food! C'mon, that sounds amazing.

Steve was accidentally setting resort records for how far he was shooting the golf balls.

You know, they didn't really have golf on Eos, so Gladio wasn't too terribly familiar, but it seemed like something that could be something he could do one day for his gym class, so he thought he'd check it out.

It was going to take him a while, though, to get it through to himself that swinging a golf club was nothing like swinging a sword, actually.
