The sun might be setting, but the temperatures are barely dropping, and there's still plenty to do if relaxing for the evening isn't your idea of fun.

"I...well, yes." Jon sighed. "I have no idea how you manage it. It is lovely here, though."

Okay, that pose was a little better, anyway. Less stretching of his worm scars.

"Practice makes perfect, right?" Gladio grinned into the next form. "Just got to keep at it. And I like yoga. It's a good way to unwind, you know?"

"Unwind?" Jon scoffed. "I think it's the opposite."

He watched the instructor for a moment, completely stumped.

Gladio huffed a small laugh.

"Try loosening your shoulders a little," he said. "You're probably holding too much tension in your neck. Breathing's important, too. Try to think less about where you're going and more about what you're doing to get there."

He laughed at his own sort of enlightened bullshit.

"Don't focus on being the pretzel, Jon. Focus on being how the pretzel twists."

Aaaaand now he wanted pretzels, damn.

"How the pretzel twists. Right." In his experience, twisty people were a problem. And now he was picturing the Distortion doing yoga.

"Breathe. I can do that." He took a deep breath and let it out, trying to relax his shoulders as he went. It was a bit easier, and he almost made it into the position. "So it's not that yoga relaxes you, it's that it forces you to relax or you can't do it."

"Requires, maybe," Gladio mused. "Forces seems to go against the whole idea. Maybe strongly suggests. You don't gotta be relaxed to do it, but you're sure as hell gonna have a much easier time of it if you are."

"I am...not the best at relaxing," Jon admitted. Contain your shock.

He tried shaking out his arms and going again. "You don't think yoga is a pushy thing?"

"I guess it could be," Gladio said, somehow managing a shrug despite his current positioning, "but I think if you feel that way about it, you're looking at it all wrong."

He snorted a laugh. "And I'd hate to think what you'd think of a training session with me if you think this is pushy."

"I'm not sure I'd survive a training session with you," Jon said. "Unless you were using me as the weights."

"Jon." Gladio's laugh was now more a bark than a snort. "That wouldn't be a workout, that'd be a light, dainty workout."

He was pretty sure he could lift Jon with his just his pinkies, if he wanted.

"Ha. I'm not that light." He absolutely was. "I'm just saying that's the only way I'd survive a workout with you."

"But don't worry," he added. "I'd go easy on ya."

It wasn't like he was Promtpo, after all.

And that was....not exactly the sort of response Gladio would have expected out of anyone, shooting over a somewhat curious look at Jon before offering, "Or not," he said, "if that's more what you're looking for...

"You know," he then offered, "Iggy and I are planning on hitting the beach every morning, if you wanted to get an idea of what you'd be in for."

"Oh, no! I-I just meant, your idea of 'easy' probably is still more than I can do," Jon admitted. "But, um." All right, he was curious. His actual fatal flaw. "What do- I mean, I'm curious about what you do in the mornings."

Was it walking? He could do walking. And possibly running, if his life was in danger.

"Running," Gladio offered, with a pleased, proud grin. "Running on sand is great for resistance. It's honestly probably my favorite terrain for a good jog, if you can run on sand, you can practically run anywhere, and the beaches here are gorgeous to boot. Those sunrises are definitely worth it."

Well, Ignis probably didn't appreciate that aspect of it as much, but Gladio sure did.

"I'm lucky to be able to run on solid ground," Jon said ruefully. Which didn't mean he was entirely ruling it out.

"All the more reason to get in the practice, then, right?" asked Gladio, with a faintly amused chuckle, because, yeah, that was probably going to be his answer to anything like that.

It absolutely could hurt. He was a nerd, not a jock.
