Viking Fjorgyn, Seine River Cruise, France [Thursday Evening]

Tonight is spent aboard the ship so we can make it down the river to Le Pecq in the morning, but never fear. Dinner is going to be spectacular to celebrate our last night aboard. Or you can skip the socializing and get room service. No judgement.

THE SHIP

The Fjorgyn, named for the Norse goddess of the Earth, is a 410 foot long ship built in 2020.

YOUR ROOMS

Students are in Veranda Staterooms on the Upper Deck, which have queen or twin sized beds depending on which is funnier, wifi, televisions, and twice-daily housekeeping. This does NOT mean you can throw ragers. The chaperones are in Veranda Suites, also on the Upper Deck, with queen or twin sized beds depending on which is funnier, wifi, televisions, fully stocked minibars and free champagne and fruit platters daily. It is, after all, why they chaperone.

Room 310

So last night had been fun... full of poor judgment and bad choices, and Connor was definitely feeling it. Which is why room service had already been by twice and he had no plans of leaving the room now he was here and comfortable. And hopefully... hopefully tomorrow he'd be able to get out and do something. But for now, he was gonna be a louse and stay right there on the floor where he currently was, leaving the bed for Cutter if he was conscious and around

Cutter was there, even though he wasn’t conscious until later that evening when his stomach started grumbling and he eventually forced himself to sit up.

“Eugh,” he moaned as he eventually sat up, “what time is it?”

"Late enough we spent the day passed out for the most part," Connor said as he shifted and slowly stood up. "Got food if ya want any," he said with a slow, small nod toward the table.

“What food do you have?” Cutter groaned as he very slowly started to get up and make his way to the table.

“I am not 21 anymore that’s for sure,” he sighed.

"Neither of us is 21 anymore," Connor said with a pained laugh and a small grimace. "Got some light stuff mostly, some fruit, crackers, cheese, stuff like that mostly. Plenty of water and a few other things too."

EXPLORING THE SHIP

Sun Deck

Located on the top of the ship, go on up there to get the best views of the passing scenery and to sunbathe if you really like being cold in October, you weirdo. There's also a walking path if you aren't getting enough exercise on all of the daily excursions.

This was it. Their last night aboard and Charlie was going to make the most of it. So here she was with her guitar and a wide variety of songs to sing in the night. Come join in if you feel so inclined!

Graham didn't get the chance to see Charlie performing while she was busking in Paris, so he was glad he didn't end up missing getting to hear her perform tonight. Especially if he'd have to read about missing it tomorrow for his radio!

So she had at least one very enthusiastic audience member who couldn't be happier to be so.

Graham grinned over at Charlie as she plopped down. "It really, really has been," he agreed. "I'd even go so far as to say that it's been a great day! And what a great way to end it, too."

Something in his grin went a little shy, one hand lifting to rub the back of his neck. "It's, uh...it's really nice getting to hear you play, Charlie."

Beta was not inclined to join in, no, but she did come up to lurk around the edges like a Victorian ghost child the periphery of the area to listen.

And even start nodding along (mostly) in time with the music, after a while.

When Charlie needed a break she bopped over to Beta. "Hey, how are you doing?" she said cheerfully. "Are you enjoying the music? Any requests?"

"I wouldn't know what to request," admitted Beta, who was sitting on a lounge chair hugging her knees, which were tucked up against her chest. "But I'm enjoying it."

Aquavit Terrace & Lounge

If you're more interested in eating al fresco and not having a multi-course meal, the Aquavit Terrace is for you. The lounge serves drinks and snacks into the night if you'd like to sit inside and gaze at the shore through glass, or take your chances out on deck.

The Restaurant

Located on the Middle Deck, the restaurant will serve as the hub for our meals throughout the cruise, assuming you aren't on shore. Each table seats six, and you've been assigned to one (over here). Make friends with your fellow Fandomites! Tonight, in addition to steak, chicken, salmon and Caesar salad that are always on the menu, the chefs are featuring filet mignon, tomato-butter pan-fried seabass, and a hamburger with oyster mushrooms tonight! All dinners will have appetizers, main courses, desserts, and a cheese plate. Your wine glass, should you choose it, will never be empty. You are traveling in France. At least tonight.

Nell had to admit that the food had been spectacular. Much more fancy than her usual fare, but just amazing.

A good portion of Stark's day had been spent in his suite, though he had eventually gone out to look at the castle ruins.

He'd been looking forward to dinner this evening and was going to fully enjoy it.
