STAR ROOMS

Each suite holds four students, two per bedroom. The main communal area at the Star Beds offers a cozy and homely dining room, sitting room and a wooden deck, which is the perfect spot for a sunny breakfast. Guided and hosted by a team of traditional Samburu and Laikipia Maasai Warriors, this cultural experience will most definitely be a memorable one. A large balcony extends out, and the Star Bed can either sit under the thatched roof of the accommodation, or be wheeled out to rest under the night sky.

Each ensuite is designed around the natural features of the hill. The bathroom with solar-heated hot shower and flush toilet has a unique layout in each room. There's also wifi and a roaring fire every night to sit around and tell stories. Or to sit around and upload your amazing photos onto social media and make everyone you know jealous. Or both!

Bedrooms

Each hand-crafted four-poster bed is on wheels so you can sleep out under the stars. Or you could keep it under then thatch, but...but...stars! There's either a queen sized bed or two pop-up camping single beds, whichever is funnier for you.

Common Area

For your chatting with suitemates needs. Dinner can be served in each separate dining area, and they're a small fire every evening to gather around.

Steve was curled up on a comfortable cushion close to the fire, scrolling through the many, many pictures he'd taken that day and waiting for Tony to come back from his sunset outdoor massage. He smiled his thanks at their guide as he brought in snacks--he felt a little bad about how often their guide brought him snacks--and wondered idly how Gladio had spent his day, too.

Warthog Common Area

The horse back ride and the other activities had been amazing for sure, and while he still wasn't ready to turn in fully for the night, Dwight was definitely ready for some relaxation. And so there he was sitting by the small fire enjoying a bite to eat, enjoying a drink, and watching the sun start to set.

Serval Common Area

Prompto had grabbed a little food downstairs before heading up to his suite, pleasantly exhausted from a long day of taking tons of pictures and intermittenly fawning over all the animals and his girlfriend, and then crashed with almost impressive rag-doll physics into one of the chairs in the common area, into a position that he swore was comfortable, really!, and started flipping through the memory card on his camera to see which ones to save and which to delete to make room for better ones tomorrow.

He scrolled through for several minutes before even finding one he was even remotely thinking of deleting, and even then, he felt really bad about it!

....it was a good thing he'd brought many memory cards!

What was this, Goose was actually eating a decent meal of his own accord that didn’t include jello, candy or caffeine?

Sometimes he could eat properly, it wasn’t often but he could do it and he actually had a decent sized portion of food on his plate as well.

Pool

It's an infinity pool and it's lit up at night. Swim and stargaze. Win/win.

Spa Activities

Would you like a massage outside in the bush with giraffe passing by? How about a salt rub for your feet followed by a body polish using orange oil and ground coffee? The lodge is eager to provide pampering.

Y'all. Horseback riding was actually, like, legit hard work, especially if you weren't used to it, so you'd better believe Summer was going to be taking advantage of all of whatever she had time for.

Would she have probably done the same even without the horseback riding excuse?

Sundowner Game Drive

Are you tired of looking at animals yet? We've only been here a day, so we hope not, you ingrate. The sundown starts out a half hour before the sun starts to set and will take you on a winding trip through portions of the conversancy and lead you to a hill to view a spectacular sunset (we're modding it, it's pretty), have a drink and eat snacks. And take all the pictures. All of them. You will not regret this.

Another chance to take even more pictures? Yes please! So, as soon as he had dropped off everything he had bought during the trip to the village earlier that day, Kurt was immersing himself in the scenery and yes, taking all of the pictures he could!

Was there ever such a thing as being tired of animals? And, sure, Sakaki had done the horseback riding tour earlier, but with this one, she might be able to remember to try and get some pictures, too.

She was every bit as thrilled as she had been all day, too.

After spending the afternoon in the village Jo decided that she now wanted to see more of the animals and the fact that she got to see an incredible sunset was just a bonus. She was definitely taking all of the photos so she could send them back home to Deirdre.

Stargazing
