It was a beautiful sunset today just around dinner, so it was a perfect excuse for go for a long walk, enjoy the weather, and find something warm and hearty to eat for dinner. Or you could snuggle into hotel-provided bathrobes, order in room service, and find a Halloween movie to scare yourself with. Or or you could go on the school-sponsored Ghosts in the Graveyard tour and then spend the night with the lights on, absolutely convinced you brought a ghost back with you.

The narrative does not judge any of these options.

We're spending the week at the five-star/five diamond Boston Harbor Hotel. Hotel luxuries include a private health-club style spa and fitness center, award-winning dining, and a full-service 34-slip marina. You know, in case you brought your spare yacht.

Rooms 10/12

Students' deluxe rooms have windows out over downtown Boston, and their chaperones' premier rooms have views out over the marina and into Boston Harbor. The rooms come equipped with all the amenities and two full beds or one king depending on which is funnier.

Well, you definitely won't starve this week, even if you never leave the hotel. Rowes Wharf Sea Grille offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with both indoor and outdoor seating. Its afternoon tea is also extremely popular. You can also go for drinks and snacks at the Rowes Wharf Bar starting at 4pm. Or you can stay up in your room and order in.

Tempting though it was to order room service, Irene could hardly resist the siren call of a good deal on scotch and oysters.

She made her way down to the bar resplendent in a fairly-casual-for-her cashmere ensemble, and posted up with her drink and her oysters. And, sure, ended up spending more time than she probably needed to chatting with the bartender, but between the pair of accents on display, there bad been quite a lot of, 'No, wait, how do you say that? ' back-and-forth.

Whether its the 60-foot lap pool, the Pelaton bikes and yoga classes you're all dying to try out, or the spa, the hotel has your fitness needs covered. The gym is open 24 hours, which is very helpful for you insomniac health nuts. Dwight.

EXCURSIONS

You're on your own to find restaurants and clubs and bars, but the school has set up an event a night if you'd rather stay with the group!

Ghosts and Gravestones Tour

Ride the Trolley of the Doomed to burial grounds nearly 400 years old, listen to the scary ghost stories of the graveyard, and look out for a ghostly encounter! Your 17th Century gravedigger tour guide (probably an actor. Probably) is dying to tell you tales of Boston’s dead in their own unusual way.

She also maybe thought it was real.

He did not expect any actual ghosts this evening but it could happen. He wasn't sure what he did expect but actual ghosts weren't on the list.

"There was a ghost who was a teacher over the summer. But I didn't see any on Mars." Or on any moons that didn't need to be brought up at this time.

It turned out that Goose was enjoying these different tours and he’d never done a ghost tour so that ended up being something different to experience.
