This was it! The moment had finally come. The Trash King and his minions had finished the big catapult under Steve McGarrett's watchful eye, and it was finally ready to bring everyone back to the surface.

"Okay," the Trash King said. "So you nerds can probably bring, like. A building up at a time on this thing. Or people. Take it in shifts. I'm not fixing it if you break it."

He would be bullied into fixing it if they broke it.

Grab your stuff, hole dwellers! And get ready to finally see the sun again.

"We're getting out?" Travis asked, barely believing the handwavy news. "We're -- seriously? We're getting out???"

"So this is for real right? I mean these trash pandas aren't just gamming us again are they?" Dwight asked a hint of skepticism hidden amongst the hopeful elation. "We are really getting out of here?"

"We're getting out!" Travis said, beaming at Stark. He would not be wiping the dopey grin off his face for awhile, okay? He started bouncing on his toes. "We're finally getting out of this godforsaken hole!"

Bucky was not celebrating, no. The relief in his chest was mixed with something else, something heavier, more complicated. He didn't even know what he was going to do when he got out of here.

(He was going to find Jesse, was what he was going to do.)

He was just keeping a tight hold on the backpack he'd come in with, and seeing if there was anything he could do to speed this whole thing along, somehow.

A catapult?

Hannibal eyed his house and sighed. There wasn't much he could do but hope, he supposed. Close everything that could be closed, tie up what could be tied up, and hope.

About now he was really wishing he'd decided on the ability to create and lift other things instead of flying, although at least the sonic collar meant he didn't have to get on the thing himself.

That's right, this sucker is going to fling all the people and buildings back to the surface.

There is likely to be some more jostling and landing awkwardly, but through the magic of the hole app, no one would be injured.

"Okay! Okay, let's do this in an orderly fashion!" Travis said, scrutinizing the catapult platform. "How the hell are we supposed to get buildings on here?"

Yeah, Faye wasn't taking the catapult. She'd taken one look at that thing and immediately gone to the Red Tail to make sure she could take off without issues.

And, okay, she was going to have to maybe...move some of these things to make sure there was room for both herself and Stark. Zipcrafts generally weren't meant to house more than one passenger as it was, and so she was sighing a little as she pulled a few bowling pins out and laid them on the ground. (She was still taking one, though. It fit in the hatch.)

Rey could safely Force throw people and buildings out of here, and to be honest part of her kind of wanted to see if she could do the jump. But she had Summer's ship which was perfectly capable of flying and carrying some people out.

So she was in the pilot's seat of the touched-up pink ship and ready to not be in a hole anymore.

Amaya scoffed a little, as she eyed the catapult with the critical eye of a woman who had built many a catapult before, although, admittedly, none that would actually manage to launch buildings.

"I guess Trash King really is accurate," she murmured, to no one in particular, with a shake of her head. "Everyone knows the catapult is the inferior seige weapon..."

Because someone had to say it.

Hannibal had on comfortable pants and a sweater, and a sonic collar. He was not being catapulted up. He picked up one suspiciously quiet cat carrier and one suspiciously feathered one and flew out of the hole on his own.

Oh. Oh, the sun hurt after three weeks.

Travis sat where he'd landed after getting flung, Probie squirming excitedly in his lap, eyes shut tight against the light.

No one was going to mind if he just kinda hung out here for a second and cried, right?

(The sun hurt but also felt so good. He was tempted to just lie back and soak it in for days.)

McGarrett had sent out a text to let people on the surface know that the catapult finally seemed to be working and had raided the station for blankets and water and protein bars to give people as they came back up.

Luckily the Razor Crest was still able to fly, so anyone who wanted a ride out it was unsteadily landing just outside the hole to let off passengers.

Also for Din to find his the kid now that he was back up on the surface.

After a somewhat rough landing, Dwight stood and brushed himself off and winced at the brightness of the sun. He was going to need to talk to Miguel about a pair of sunglasses if he didn't adjust quickly after all that time in the darkness....

Quickly he pulled up the hoodie on his jacket as he watched everything going on and all the commotion as more people left the hole. Silently Dwight stood looking around at everything, looking a bit shell-shocked at the moment. They had survived. They had made it out. And it was going to take a little bit for him to convince himself that it was all really real.

Alara knew that compared to everyone else she had been relatively lucky but she was still relieved to be back above ground once she’d waited for everyone else to catapult up. All she knew was that she definitely didn’t want to go through that again.

She’d head back to the dorms and call her sister to let her know she was okay later but for now she was content to stay put back above ground for a bit before heading back inside.

Wanda was not about to leave her store or friends in the care of a catapult. Her powers could wreak havoc sometimes, but she had a little more confidence in them than medieval weaponry.

So there was Wanda flying out of the hole, followed by the Magic Box, all glowing red. She’d put the store in its proper place soon enough, first she wanted to let any passengers off.

It may have been a bumpy ride, sorry. But not built by raccoons!

Well, here he was, post catapult ride. Squinting, briefly, at being exposed to sunlight again, though the serum in Bucky's body meant adjusting wouldn't take long.

He shrugged the backpack further up his shoulder as he scanned his surroundings for a particular, familiar form --

Summer was pretty sure anyone down here would be a little wary about throwing themselves into more holes after all of this, so she didn't expect many people would take her up on an offer to be portaled back up to the surface. She would happily offer her services to anyone who was really that catapult-, telekenises-, or spaceship-averse, but she was mostly here for something else entirely.

She had a feeling this was going to happen. She'd seen this sort of thing time and time again whenever her grampa showed up somewhere and fucked things up. So she was ready to block the Trash King's exit path before he even got very far at all.

"Going?" she asked, with a challenging quirk of her eyebrow. "Going where?"
