Since no new people had arrived yesterday and a considerable dent had collectively been made in the liquor stock of the Devil's Nest... was it really a new day? Had time really moved forward?

Sure, there was a larger divot in the ceiling now that there were much more people chipping away at the rock, but... had time really moved on?

Luckily the cure for existential dread is alcohol.

Were there any? WHO KNEW?

What are you up to this time? You do you.

Dwight was killing time that day by sitting near the campfire. In his hands was a guitar he had found in the music shop, and not knowing what else to do with himself at that moment he decided to see how much he could remember. It might have been a few years since he last picked up a guitar let alone played but his fingers soon found their rhythm again and he was strumming away and enjoying himself.

It was getting harder to find new things to do at this point, which meant at least that Rey was doing a lot of work on the would-be hole back up.

And the loose rocks were becoming an issue, so Rey has spent a good amount of time loading up a rickshaw with rocks just to take up time... and realized that maybe people needed the use of the rickshaws Steve had brought down than she did.

So she'd marked a start and end points at a stretch of clearing with rocks and set up two rickshaws at the start.

Races, anyone?

There was. In the form of Alara who had managed to sneak into the
compound only to have fallen in a hole when she was in there.

It took her a moment to realise what had happened and she stared up in the direction she’d fallen from where she was sprawled on the ground.

"Hey, you okay?" Rey checked, coming over to her.

Steve came over and grinned. "What are you up to?"

He could guess.

"If people show up, rickshaw races. If they don't, it'll be very strange-looking training for me," Rey explained.

Stark had gotten a little (or more than a little) panicking out of his system yesterday and then been distracted enough not to start that up again.

So when he started wandering around today it was in a calmer fashion.

"Tired of bowling?"

"Figured I would change things up some," Rey answered. "Interested in racing?"

"I would love to know how the training would go," Steve admitted.

"I don't know. Are these good for racing?"

Would the races have real rules or superior space people rules?

"Me too. I hadn't really decided yet. I was hoping for the first time," she said.

"No idea. But they're here," Rey reasoned.

"They are," Stark agreed. "And it's something different. Different might be good."

If he got distracted and/or tired out he might even forget to panic entirely today!

"Exactly my thought," Rey nodded. "I figure we start easy, just fastest to the line-" Rocks, and it wasn't a line because she didn't want to mess up her wheels. "-wins. If that's too easy, we can make it more interesting."

"The first thing sounds fun," Steve said. "How many do you think you need to drag a rickshaw?"

Oh, good, Beaker had a lighter again. And what was no doubt a stupidly expensive designer tie around his hair like a Woodstock attendee."

"MEEPMEEP!"

Maybe Dwight knew Freebird? Or had been down in the hole long enough to speak Meep?

"You're probably faster than I am," Stark said.

She definitely was. One space person here trained!

"How would you make it more interesting?"

PASSENGERS?

"I think one. Unless maybe we start adding people," she said.

"Throwing people and things in the rickshaws, maybe racing around things."

Carefully, she didn't want to damage anything they may need later.

There were plenty of things that weren't really ever going to be useful. Bowling pins and balls. Empty bottles and cans. Cannonballs. Beaker.

"Oh. That could work. I guess we could try."

Dwight looked up and sighed... oh THAT was not good. I mean at least he wasn't climbing in cannons again but still... Dwight knew enough that Beaker and fire were not a good mix.

"Hey Beaker, how about you give me the lighter? Wouldn't want anything to happen to that spiffy tie you got there" he tried, hoping to avoid an absolute disaster.

"So you and I could run it and get other people to join us?"

He was a little too excited about this.
