Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Feet Below Fandom, Wednesday

Whelp, it was Wednesday again. And they were still in the hole. At least this Wednesday people had lots of options for things to occupy themselves with, besides trying to right firefighting vehicles?

There was a bowling alley! A campfire (with a somewhat diminished stash of marshmallows)! A music store! An ice cream shop, though its stock was all melted and gross by now! Even some empty warehouses!

So many things to do to take your mind off how absolutely terrible it was that you were stuck in a hole, and there was no clear way out. . . .

It wasn't so much that Rey wanted to be noticed, but she'd also ended up in a hole that sucked up enough water than when she fell through, well, it might have solved some people's shower issues.

And then she was sitting up, looking around and checking, "Grogu?" to make sure he didn't come along.

Getting a bit soaked was one way to start off your day in a hole. Or continue your day. Time was especially meaningless when you were trapped in an underground cavern.

Stark yelped, very loudly, when some of the water hit him. But he had been down here a week, even a partial rinse off was probably for the best.

"What? Why? Oh. Rey. You brought...the pond?" Usually people brought buildings!

"Not all of it? I think?" Rey said. She was soaked, but that did seem to happen weirdly often.

"Rey!" He did not even care if her arrival meant that he was soaking wet with pond water right now. He ran up to her as quickly as he could. Which wasn't really fast, but still.

Getting stuck in a hole was the start of a whole new set of problems, and yet it was worth it at least right this second.

And he was getting a kiss immediately after he got to her.

Travis hadn't been bowling since, like, middle school. He had terrible memories of being absolutely the worst bowler in his class.

He was exactly bored enough to decide that a slightly cockeyed bowling alley in a hole was the perfect place to try to improve his skills.

Or maybe he was just in a mood to throw heavy balls at things.

Dwight had made short work of the few pieces of wood he had to fiddle with, thus ending his whittling. Deciding it was time to actually get up and move for a bit he made his way towards the bowling alley- one of many places he had yet managed to check out prior to the hole escapade. Dwight had seen Travis head that way but hadn't seen him around recently so figured he was still inside.

"Hey Travis," he called out as he entered.

"Dwight," Travis said, looking up at him with a nod. "Want to bowl a few . . . hands? Rounds? I don't know what they're called."

Frames. They were called "frames", Travis.

Dwight had been checking out the newly arrived warehouses, both for anything useful that might be inside and also to make sure no one was trapped or hurt inside.

The warehouses as it turned out had been fairly empty and looked like they had not actually been used for some time. He did find some chunks of wood among the few empty crates and containers.

Bringing them back he set the largest ones down off to the side so Travis could have some more wood for the fire. The few smaller pieces he set on the ground next to him, took out his pocket knife, and began whittling away at one of them.

To keep herself distracted occupied, Astrid was hard at work at the one thing she knew she was good at: painting.

And even though her brush strokes on the cavern walls were broad and simple in the style of ancient cave art, it wasn't difficult to pick out familiar traits of the people in the cavern with her, the buildings, the fire truck and the Crumbler, the fire, the dog...

...and she was quick to add any new arrivals or notable events while she was at it, too, occasionally stepping back to look on her work with approval, then going right back to it again.

Alexis was bored, so she could hang back and watch Astrid work a little.

"Which one's me?" she assumed.

Being stuck in a hole was no excuse for Ignis to slack off on his training, so a better part of the day (when he wasn't speaking to Miss Blackstone about repairing his daggers after having used them on the walls, wasn't that a convenient distraction?) was spent doing exactly that, off to the side somewhere as to not be intrusive, working through his forms, his moves, and his spells, even for his lance, as he was able to borrow that weapon from the aforementioned blacksmith.

It wasn't much of a training session. He tried to keep it light, considering the conditions and lack of resources, but it was still better than nothing.

At some point, Troy was just sort of camped out in front of Groovy Tunes, almost as if he was guarding it (or, perhaps, he was guarding everyone else from the headphone wire monster in the basement; honestly, he was sort of hoping it didn't survive the fall, but he was not about to check!), with a guitar in his lap. He considered it for a moment, tweaked some of the tuning, shifted it into a good position and played a small scale.

And then...

"I have no idea how to actually play this," he admitted, and then just yeeted the guitar aside, not really caring if it survived the throw, because half the inventory was probably damaged anyway, and he now had an in at the fire station if Tisarwat kicked his butt to the curb, and that was even assuming they...ever...got...out...

So that thought was just going to lead to Troy sitting there with his eyes wide, staring into the vastness of a potential future stuck in this cave forever for a good few minutes.

And then his expression shifted again, remembering that he was stuck down here with two of his favorite hotties, so if they needed to restart an entire civilization down here, he was actually in a pretty good position for that, really...

...someone please give this boy something to do, because otherwise, he's just going to sit there thinking, and that could not possibly go anywhere good.

He'd been here long enough that the amusement of other people's torture was fun enough to override his own, all right?

The look Troy was giving Hannibal was definitely a suspicious one.

And why was this cave so filled with horrible enablers??

Since they seemed to have nothing but time (and at least one more generator thanks to the Crumbler), Amaya figured she might as well get to work. She even had some weapons to spruce up with Ignis's daggers! And, hey, if they really were down here long enough, it was good to know that she was bringing some useful skills to the table. She could help provide tools, parts, structures...whatever else, so long as her supplies lasted, anyway.

And she did have a pretty hefty supply of something else that she figured would be appreciated; having a greenhouse full of plants and a cabinet full of tea for entertaining meant she was definitely putting on a pot and, at one point, calling out the opened door to the shop:

"I've got plenty of tea in here, if anyone wants any! Just come on in, have a cup."

Her coffee, however, was being strictly horded, thank you very much!

Hannibal had plenty of tea at home, yes, but getting out of the house was nice.

"I will happily take you up on that," he said, bowing to Amaya. "How has your forge managed the trip?"
