Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Feet Below Fandom, Sunday
So. It was, if Travis's admittedly rough calculations were correct, now Sunday. Which meant he'd officially been down here for a week.
The little community was still growing. They now had a fire station, a mansion, and a bowling alley at which to occupy their time. There was plenty of food -- and now some very shitty beer, too, which Travis appreciated -- as well as three generators, a fair amount of potable water, a small emergency water heater and pump, and a lot of spare fire uniforms if people started to feel a bit too stinky.
There was still no apparent way out yet, though.

Life in the hole
Re: Life in the hole
No one would blame him for having a little bit of a breakdown today, would they?
The form of said breakdown? He had all of the station's various cutting tools out by the wall of the cavern, and was going at the rock with each in turn, trying to figure out if they could just cut their way out of this hellhole.
So far, all he'd managed to do was break a chainsaw and an ax, and dull a couple of rotary blades. He was trying the diamond tipped one next. Possibly while screaming.
Re: Life in the hole
But rather than dwelling, she'd found the pool table in the bowling alley and was now finding all the balls from where they'd fallen to her some playtime in.
Best of a bad situation!
Re: Life in the hole
Generally that meant donating them to charity, but down here...well. So Hannibal was moving in and out of the house, setting up a neat pile outside of suits (cut for him, Jono, and each of them as women), shirts and blouses, formal and semi-formal gowns, casual dresses and skirts, and loafers, boots, pumps, and high-heeled sandals.
His need to keep up with current fashions was everybody else's possible benefit. Or they could all dress up and have a fashion show if they wanted.
Re: Life in the hole
Today, Stark was trying to keep himself calm and keep a safe distance from Travis and his assortment of sharp objects. Maybe he'd investigate the bowling alley at some point. He didn't remember being in there when it was aboveground. Maybe now would be a good time to check it out. For right now he was taking himself for what was becoming a habitual walk around the cavern and humming tunelessly to himself while he did it.
Re: Life in the hole
As he sat on the somewhat oddly angled steps leading up to the front door he pulled out his phone. He had been conserving the battery and had not checked it much since first landing in the hole. Still no signal, but he had an idea. He typed out a short text, rather awkwardly with his oversized fingers, set it to send to Miguel and then saved it. His train of thought was if another hole opened up, during that short window they might have a chance of getting a message out before it closed back up again. It was worth a try.. at least that was what he told himself as he slipped the phone back into his pocket with a sigh.
