Aizuwakamatsu, Japan, Thursday [Daytime]

Time to leave behind the hustle and bustle of big city life and head to somewhere a little quieter! Today we're back on the train and heading to Aizuwakamatsu.

"I suppose it does," Stark agreed, then let out an only slightly exaggerated sigh. "Didn't help, did it?"

"Not even a little," Anakin said.

"I could try harder," Stark offered. "If it would help."

"It would not help," Anakin said, chuckling, "but thank you for the offer."

"Probably for the best," Stark said. "Some things are best left alone. Don't need to revisit everything. Or everywhere I've been."

That was a little more subtle at least.

"I have enjoyed most of this. Just not the sleeping arrangements." Or the regret after singing karaoke.

"The temples have been very nice," Anakin agreed.

"They have been!" Stark nodded enthusiastically. "They were beautiful. Very calm."

"It's a nice change from the trip where a student went over a waterfall in a barrel," Anakin admitted.

Stark paused then shifted in his seat so he could see Anakin without turning his head.

"Were they all right? And why?"

What had he missed in previous years?

"Because it was there, I think," Anakin said. "And they were fine. Physics...worked differently...for Beaker. It was odd."

"It sounds odd. Very odd. At least we haven't had that."

Honestly, Stark had sort of expected more things to go wrong than just the lack of beds. He wasn't going to say that out loud though.

"Well, there's a waterfall today," Anakin said, "so...hopefully no one will remember."

"They might hear you," Stark pointed out. "And physics work for all of them. Most of them?" He wasn't sure.

"Let's go with most just to be safe," Anakin decided.

"So keep them away from waterfalls. To be safe."

He didn't want to deal with any students needing to cross over, Anakin. He really didn't.

"You too," Anakin said with a smile. "That's why you're a chaperone."

Stark nodded in agreement, then tilted his head as he considered something.

"Hmm. I am a chaperone. The same as the others." The other chaperones who got their own beds, Anakin.

Anakin laughed. "The hotels are already booked."

"Had to try," Stark said with a shrug. "The opportunity presented itself."
