While she was floating on the roof last night, Astrid had gotten many ideas, and not all of them about the painting on the wall for when they got back. Some of it had been...other things, and that was why she was strolling through the shops that morning, picking out postcards, though not for reinforcing catapults.

And as she lingered over a few of them, playing with the edges, she contemplated exactly what she should be trying to reinforce, whether she would send one to Ingrid, or if they were all going to serve the purpose of flooding a dead woman's mailbox.

Oh, Wayne'd had breakfast, of course, but he'd made a quick deal of it, just so's he could give himself a bit more time to head on back to the beach for one last contemplative smoke while squinting reflectively out at the ocean. Best take advantage of it while he was still here, and, y'wanna know what? Fer a vacation, this wasn't actually half bad.

It'd been a good, good week.
