It was another beautiful day on Boracay island. The beaches were calling to you - or maybe it was the food? Or the BAT CAVES?

Yes, children. Today there were bat caves.

Students are in one bedroom suites, which include a spacious living area, a nook, a bar, and a separate bedroom with two double sized beds or one king for whichever makes better RP. The L-shaped sofa in the living area doubles as a sleeping space for two additional guests for when your room parties have gotten a little too exuberant. The chaperones are in premier one bedroom suites: two story, two bathroom rooms with private Jacuzzis that the students are super duper not invited to try out.

Restaurants

Breakfast is served at Sands RestaurantSands Restaurant if you didn't breakfast in bed, or you can grab a snack by the pools or out at the beach. Lunchtime provides options at the Indigo Restaurant or Forno Osterio.

Wayne hadn't quite decided which activity to pursue that morning yet, but that wasn't an issue, because first things first! And the first thing was another good breakfast at the hotel to make sure he was good and fueled up for whatever he decided on. It was, after all, the most important meal of the day, even if the internet claimed it was all just made up to promote cereal.

Which he'd stand by being a bad scam, if anything, considering, once again, he was not having cereal.

Pools and Beach

Half the reason to come to Boracay is the amazing white sand beaches. Enjoy the hotel's pristine section of beachfront (conveniently close to the Sand Bar), or go to the pools instead. There's a spot up on the roof infinity pool and Jacuzzi and the main pool on the ground level. That one also has a poolside bar, a kiddie pool, and butlers armed with inflatable toys and snacks. Well, the toys are inflatable. Not the snacks.

Yeah, Summer had definitely not been up early enough to provide her chaperone services to any of the morning activities, especially since the morning hours were the best time for her to sneak in some snore-free sleep.

So she was getting her next day started with catching some sun on the beach, with a drink already in hand.

Hey, it was a mimosa. It had orange juice. Totally a breakfast drink.

Yesterday, Shunsui had discovered that the jacuzzi up on the roof was an incredible place for napping.

This morning (which, technically, it still was, even if barely), he would give the beach a try. And he would not be disappointed.

So many new places to nap to explore! And so little time!

Well, not really. Time was all relative when you were already dead...

Shuri had taken her eclectic collection of postcards, keychains, coconuts-with-faces, puka shell necklaces and toy slingshots to the beach with her.

She waved down the attentive waiter who might have been dispatched to the island by T'Challa for her usual mango smoothie and got to work.

Cliff Diving

You're welcome, Sidon. Ariel's Point, renowned for its cliff-diving and beautiful sandy beach, is a place where you can also rent equipment to go kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. Our day trip includes a BBQ buffet lunch, snacks and unlimited drinks – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Ah-ha! Yes! The narrative was correct; this was exactly the sort of thing Sidon was looking forward to! Although this still wasn't quite the exciting and challenging task that was leaping from the mountains around Zora's Domain (or even leaping off the side of the Domain itself!), that just meant it gave Sidon extra cause to really, really show off his diving skills!

Really, really show off.

He had a reputation to uphold, after all, and he absolutely had no shame when it came to his talents. Why, he could even make it half-way up to the cliffs from the water in a single jump! How could he not just use that to his advantage?

There was definitely a theme to the activities Rosa was choosing to chaperone thus far, and that theme involved 1) things she actually wanted to do herself, 2) things that could go hilariously wrong, and 3) things that had the potential to be a little more interesting purely based on who was actually on this trip. So far, those margins hadn't steered her wrong, and today was absolutely no exception.

God, she needed to get back to doing stuff like this way more often.

Bat Cave

Go to a Bat Cave! The Boracay Bat Cave is near Ilig-Iligan Beach on the northeastern end of Boracay Island. You have to pay a small fee and rental a guide to get there and come back safely. The visit involves a walk through the jungle before reaching the entrance of the cave framed by huge rocks. THEN you get to walk through the bats’ feces that covers most of the ground and make it slippery. PLUS it smells really bad. But it's your vacation. Do you.

Beaches

Boracay Island may be pretty small (7 km in length and less than 2 km wide), but there are no less than 17 beaches and coves of all shapes and sizes. You can head for the popular 4-km-long White Beach, or take a boat to the small and secluded Ilig-Iligan and Tambisaan beaches.

Sabine didn't really do the beach thing, but she did want to see it. So she walked just far enough to find a good spot where she could hang out with her sketchbook and doodle the things around her. It was nice and quiet and there weren't many people in the immediate area, but still have her the ability to people watch.
